He's big at WW so it might have happened over the next year or 2 anyway.

Hearn just trying to save face, he knows it's a mismatch even if Brook is a big WW.

    I agree.
Brook isn't a natural welterweight. that's not to say he's unnatural at welterweight (sorry for the word unnatural, cba to find another word), but he's more natural at 154 than 147 imo.

Tbh I would favour Brook over Liam Smith but guys like Lara, Charlo, Andrade he'd be a slight underdog.

Calling him a LMW is totally unfounded. Nt to say he wouldn't have success there, but it's totally unfounded.

All speculation, no real grounds to it

Most of the top ten welterweights are jnr middle/middle cutting down to 147 lbs , same for most weight classes.

GGG is a natural 168lbs fighter, but because all fighters cut 10+ lbs he cuts to 160 lbs to fight guys his size.

Big at welterweight but has no problems making welterweight. He's still not a middleweight.

He does have problems making welterweight though as its been well documented over the years and has fought quite a few times at over 150... He can make welter but he needs a 12 week camp to do so

His trainer also said if it was still same day weigh ins kell would be a middleweight

I can't remember a fight in which GGG looked like the smaller guy in the ring. They ALL cut to make weight. That is why I'd rather see same day weigh-ins.

I don't know about smaller or bigger, but he always looks like the more natural middleweight. He's lean and cut, the others are flabby or soft.

There are rumours flying around that Kell will be retiring after this fight due to a leg injury caused by the attack on him a while back and that this is essentially a golden handshake.

    Anyone know anything about that?

Murray looked two divisions above him. Rubio was bigger too. All the others were at least as big as him. Even guys like Wade looked possibly slightly bigger than him.

And i'm 100% with you on same day weigh ins. Will never happen, though
