I'm not so sure. I think Lewis is right to be sceptical of anything coming out of any promoters mouth, but it does seem as if he's changed his tune somewhat since he started working with PBC. Previously it felt like he was impartial, now he looks slightly more one sided.

If I were AJ though I'd say that I was happy to take a fight with either Wilder or Fury based on the principles Lewis previously outlined, AJ has three belts, Wilder has one, so split the revenue accordingly, although note he hasn't repeated that view since he started his work with PBC...

I hate this whole " well look at his resume after 22 fights " stuff, because its all b*llox.

Essentially once you hold a world title, whether that is after 1 fight, 10 fights, 20 fights that is a declaration that you are ready to face all comers.
You want the money and fame from holding a world title then how many fights you had before that point is irrelevant.

Some fighters would want world title fights earlier than they get the opportunity to do so.
Hearn / AJ saw the opportunity to get an easy world title and had the profile and money to get that opportunity. I am sure Lewis would have taken on a similar opportunity if it had been available at that point in his career.

IMO you should only compare retired fighters with other retired fighters. Comparing Lewis with a AJ at this point in time is stupid.

I think Lewis is a tad jealous of the fact that Joshua could become the usurper to his #1 position amongst British Heavyweights in a year or two.

It smacks of Maradonna v Messi if you know your football.

And Leon Spinks had a better record than Joshua and all of them after eight fights. Who cares?

God, enough of this "his record is better after 22 fights."

He'll be 30 this year. At the rate he boxes, he may not even win 30 fights. By that measure, his career is more than two-thirds of the way over.

Instead of acting like he's just getting started and "only" has 22 fights, you should recognize the real possibility that his career might be at its absolute peak right now and he's entering the last period of his career.

    WTF are you talking about!

You can’t compare a heavyweights record with someone from the lower weight classes, especially the really light ones. The dynamics of heavyweight fighting are so different to the lighter weights it’s just stupid to make a comparison.

You just come accross as a barrel scraping hater reaching for credibility in a totally ridiculous argument

Good comparison, maradonna was the god of Argentina before messi came along and he hates it.

It’ll never happen I know but it would be interesting to see what the response would be if Joshua agreed to offer Wilder a ‘winner takes all’ deal with a rematch both ways.

Both fighters are wealthy enough to take a fight where there’s a possibility of earning nothing while footing the bill for their training camp, travel etc out of their own money.

With all of the belts and the Undisputed tag on the line would either fighter be confident enough of winning to back himself this way.

It would also catch the attention of the wider population & media which would make the biggest fight out there even bigger!
