    "This is how negotiations work....Wilder should demand 50/50 to begin with".

    "The question is what does Hearn reply with? 75/25 and Wilder should walk away".


    Interesting....

    Wilder is allowed to make demands but Hearn isn't?

    The sad reality is that this is pretty damn accurate.

    IMHO, too many American boxing fans on here, who have become angered by the fact that their heavyweight scene in the past decade has been non-existent, are directing this anger towards the wrong individuals.


    Hearn and Joshua are not responsible for the fact that in 39 fights Wilder hasn't been in the ring with an opponent who isn't recognizable outside of his own home.

    Hearn and Joshua are not responsible for the fact that Wilder never fought Wlad, Vitali and Haye....the 3 big names of the sport since Wilder turned pro.

    Hearn and Joshua are not responsible for the fact that the US heavyweight scene has declined so sharply from the eras containing the likes of Tyson, Holmes, Ali, Frazier etc etc that we now see comments like "Washington is a top 10 fighter".

    Hearn is one guy, who, whether you like him or not, would've made sure that Wilder would be in a position where, at the very least, he would have been a US PPV attraction by now.




    Maybe Wilder isn't to blame. I don't understand the US boxing politics enough to understand exactly who is responsible for Wilder being so so far away from legitimately being able to demand a "50/50" split....but it certainly isn't Eddie Hearn.

    If I was Wilder and I truly believed in myself I'd take what Hearn/Joshua was offering.

    Wilder earns 1-2 million per fight defending that belt, if they offer him 10% it would be a career high payday.

    Wilder says it isn't about money and it's about being the best but then insists on things and splits that suggest he is full of it and is pricing himself out.

    Wilder is more confused than Scooby Doo.

    Why not take the fight, win it, and then rematch AJ and only give AJ 10% of the split?

    I disagree.
    This is one of these fights where 1 + 1 ≠ 2.
    If you compare Wilder's popularity and biggest paydays to Joshua's popularity and biggest paydays you'd come to that conclusion, but the fight makes it bigger as both of them combined. I'd say somewhere between 30 to 35% for Wilder would obviously be fair in this case.

    Wilder did not deserve even 30%. He is a utter s***. 40 fights and not even 1 real top 10 opponent. What is his highest earn for a match ? 1.5mln?
    Joshua make 10 times more then this s***. Joshua brings the interest and the money. Wilder is no one.
    He should be happy with 5mln., cause this will be 3x time better then the highest he earn till now.
    So 80-20 is fair, and 75-25 will be very kind offer from Hearn.
    And this clown want 50-50. They should let him fight the bums he usually fight and earn 10 time less.

    "The most feared man in Heavyweight boxing", the guy who "no one wants to fight, they're all scared" prices himself out of a fight by asking ten times his PROVEN MARKET VALUE as a purse! Now that's a big surprise isn't it!

    it will end up being 70/30 in favor of joshua. AJ will KTFO out of the fraudulent WBC fake champion.

    Wilder will ride off in the sunset with his payday, pursuing a career in clean energy for small countryside villages via supplying wind power.

    Then the usual suspects of troll/casual posters (MVC! Blizz etc) will find another bum to hype and annoy the rest of us with.

    And life on ESB will go on...
