At £3.4m + gate receipts + sponsorship etc, Sky + Matchroom have made a killing as I remember Eddie saying the total purses on the show were around £1m

 

Glad boxing news have stopped riding his ****.

 

Simple way around it was not to buy. I never pay for any PPV that does not have two world class boxers in the main event in a fight that could go either way with a title on the line.

 

Spread the word amongst boxing fans and friends.

There is no justification for PPV Boxing on Sky.

If nobody buys PPV dies.

 

Boycott every PPV event and don't buy tickets for his events.

Sky will get the message quickly.

These ****ers are actors only interested in money

 

The whole thing was a success Eddie claims apart from the main event, isn't that what the ppv is based upon?

 

Success would I imagine be based on PPV buys and revenues, which if the 200k figure is true it was ridiculously successful.

Im not so sure about that, the british public has a short memory.another hyped up ppv with each fighter baiting each other up and the public love it. Thats what sold this one

Hearn comes across as a total nob which is not a surprise he just thinks if he says things enough people are dumb enough to believe him

 

Eddie expected to put on at least 2 PPV events per year and hopefully the UK public have learned that no fight is worth a PPV charge.

Don't buy and PPV will die

Well if your ppv main event consists of two fighters that are inexperienced at the weight, one fat the other too small, both been recently brutally knocked out, and neither world class and the only reason u think it will be a good fight is because the two guys dont like each other ...well then u have a recipe for disaster on your hands. Idiotic idea from the start.

 

PPV is fine in certain circumstances, this however isn't one of those

 

I disagree mate - if you pay a decent subscription fee for Sky Sports already then this should include all the boxing.

Imagine if the Premiership Title Decider in Jan 2015 between Chelsea v Man City was suddenly PPV, the US Masters final round was PPV or all Ashes test matches - Sky would find the subscription base heading towards Boxnation numbers.

All this is doing is driving people away from watching Boxing.
