Throw your man in with the guy who you're hyping and saying will be Joshua's next opponent, but more relevant to what I'm about to say is as all of us here know Wilder destroyed Helenius in a round. So if AJ goes the distance the Wilder fight becomes unsellable lol. No wonder "Bricktop" with his old head is dominating the game.
Simon Jordan is more self-made than Eddie Hearn. If it weren't for his father Eddie would have probably ended up working as a market fruit and vegetable seller.
AJ is already very low in fans eyes, so going to distance with Helenius will not change much. He will be underdog in that Wilder fight regardless
I thought it was a strange choice, even if the fight goes 3 - 4 rounds it'll put a bit of a damper on the Wilder fight from the enthusiasts perspective. The casuals will buy a Joshua vs Wilder no matter what.
Hearn (the guy who runs a company worth £700m) “doesn’t understand business” says a guy that still lives in his parents basement.
I hope that Wilder and Joshua fight one day. As much as I think Wilder was loony for his excuses against Fury, I've always backed him, just like I do every USA Olympian. The boxing part aside, I've always had huge respect for Deontay Wilder for going from working as help in a restaurant to heavyweight champion of the world and being able to provide for his sick daughter. Just like the way I have always admired Michael Spinks for raising his young daughter after his common-law wife passed in the accident as his career was starting to take off at the championship level. I think Deontay Wilder will bombs away destroy Joshua if they ever fight. KTFO! LOL!
Matchroom was a small operation in the UK when Eddie took over the business from his father. For a guy who doesn't understand business he's done remarkably well for himself and grown Matchroom into arguably the premier boxing promotional company in boxing. Is he faultless clearly not and not everything about his business model is good, such as all the rematches and the same fighters being brought out time and again as opponents, but overall I think he's been a positive for boxing from a fans perspective, he's not scared to take risks when it makes sense.
Hearn took it to the next level to be fair, though he has done a good job in ruining the structure since the Joshua/Canelo losses and walking away from Sky
Nah I’m just playin for the most part. Matchroom has been on some big shows the last few years. I think he has extended himself a bit and once his cashcows fade away so will he.
