Very interesting interview, the most interesting part was that Toprank had the ability to cancel the contract in December but didn’t!?? Wonder why

Hearn should be slapped on his incompetency. There is no Bob Arum lied to him, at the end of the day Eddie Hearn failed his fighter AJ by not doing his proper due diligence from the beggining. In the business world you can't explain to your client I failed because X, Y, Z lied to me, your client will tell you cut that **** out, at the end of the day you failed me and I am firing your Ass.

Hearns is lucky AJ is staying with him due to loyalty and what he has done for him but any other fighter with zero emotional investment would have let him go for this episode of shocking incompetency

Yeah team Fury is full of b.c. We already knew this. They didn`t want this fight. They are garbage. No need of me to say anything, just watch the whole Eddie interview. He brings up great point.
If you are unbiased and have a brain, you will 100% agree with him.

All of a sudden Hearns is put up as some beyond reproach type guy, he's a slimeball, always has been, always will be...

Eddie had no visibility of the arbitration, nor the original contract to fight Wilder. Bob insisted the arbitration would not be an issue so that's all Eddie could go on.
Matchroom has had plenty of dealings with Top Tank over the years, and a level of professionalism and honesty in the negotiation would be expected, what due dilligence are you talking about ?
Eddie did everything to try and make undisputed happen and Bob has potentially wrecked it. Assuming the Saudi offer is still going to be there in Dec and both fighters come through is a big roll of the dice as I see it. A failure would be to have never tried to get undisputed done in the first place. But you're criticising Eddie for giving his best to get it done....amazing.

I am criticizing Eddie for taking Bob Arum on his word, the excuse he has no visibility of the arbitration is rubbish as he knew there was an arbitration going on and as a logical person he should have factored in the fact that Wilder could win the arbitration on his own rather than putting this on Bob Arum. He failed with regards to the due diligence he should have done

Why would Bob Arum not want the AJ fight? Its vastly more lucrative than a Wilder trilogy. This is nothing more than shameful ducking. They never wanted the AJ fight and never had any intention of making it happen. Arum could have torn up the Wilder agreement and chose not to.

    "BETRAYAL." That's hilarious.

Eddie Hearn knew there was a signed contract in place for Fury-Wilder 3.

The arbitration was to BLOCK Fury from breaking the contract.

People keep saying "Well, the arbitration was going on and Eddie didn't have access to the contracts."

The arbitration was going on because Eddie inserted himself in this situation and tried to break up the Fury-Wilder 3 deal.

And now Hearn is mad he couldn't break it up. And he's mad everyone didn't help him break it.

Honestly, I don't fault him for trying. But he's trying to paint this like HE (HEARN) is the injured party. He shouldn't have inserted himself in this situation to begin with. Fury and Wilder already had a deal.

He was trying to break up an existing deal between two other people.

It's like a woman trying to break up a marriage, and a guy tells the girlfriend he'll leave his wife. Then the wife says let's go see the priest who married us and they both agree to do what the priest advises. They talk to the priest. The priest says stay together and work it out. So the man decides to stay with his wife. And the girlfriend gets all bent out of shape because the priest sided with staying married.

The arbitrator is there to ensure the contract is followed if one side wants to change or break it.

Like the priest, the arbitrator WAS ALWAYS going to rule in favor of the contract.

    And he did.

None of these guys are new to this. They're just trying to win over the public, because they spent the past half year trying to break legal contracts that were already in place ... and they failed.

And now they all look stupid.

Eddie is acting like the girlfriend who said, "He told me he was going to leave his wife." And everyone is looking at him like "You dumb *****. Why did you try to break up a marriage?"

Hearn is 100% right on this. Yes there was risk about the arbitration but as he stated the Fury camp appear to have made no effort to come up with a solution. With the mega sums involved there were tons of options. Not just step aside cash but offering Wilder a future fight for instance. One thing you can’t dispute is that Fury has shown zero disappointment in the ruling and seems happy about it.

It took 6 months to negotiate the AJ fight so surely they could have spent a couple of weeks to salvage it but somehow managed to agree the Wilder fight in days

Poor baby Eddie. He had no idea that there was an arbitration going on. He didn't think once that maybe Wilder can win the arbitration and disrupt his plans. He is a 12 year old child who had no choice but to listen to and rely on everything Bob Arum was telling him without using a brain of his own.

Or Maybe Eddie Hearn knew about the Wilder Arbitration and that Wilder had a serious chance of winning it and he had discussed and hoped that Bob Arum, Frank Warren will and he will manage to get Fury out of the Wilder rematch clause and he is trying to mask his embarrassment, disappointment that the trio of Al Haymon, Shelly Finkel pulled the pants down in public of the trio of Eddie Hearn, Bob Arum and Frank Warren.

But Poor Eddie according to his Ars licking fans

It's like that except the marriage turned abusive right when the pandemic was starting, the wife told everyone the husband cheated last time he was in Vegas and that his glove's gone floppy, plus the girlfriend is a knockout and we all want to watch the wedding night.
