Eddie Hearn Fleeced the British public with another unwarranted PPV

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by Primal Pledge, Apr 10, 2016.

  1. 3 undercard mismatches with names you can barely recognise leading up to the main event, one being a kid who was fighting a bulgarian gypsy for his first ever pro fight, but due to his dads name gets billed 3rd from main fight. Selby vs Hunter being the exception to the night.

Then after having to suffer through all the complete and utter ugly dross, the fans watching around the world get treated to a 2 round finish to the night due to a classical british stoppage in a fight between two novices.

And British people paid over 16 sterling pounds and god knows how much for ring side seats?

Hearn is a very smart business man. Keep milking those casuals Eddie, because they can't see the wood for the trees

    Easy work

it is simple, Don't buy the ****ing thing. Nobody is making you buy the PPV.

  3. I don't buy it dummy.

The point is the people who do, will and so other **** events will keep getting made as PPV.

I guess you love getting ripped off.

It's sad. I sense that even some of the SKY pundits should feel like they are selling their souls for this rubbish. But guys like Haye and Audley are brought on board for a reason. They never had any qualms about selling sh!t to suckers.

Nope i'm just a lurker who's laughing at you and decided after creating a account months ago, as a sheffield united fan who had heard from a board member a date was pencilled in for brook at the football ground, to create an account.

So i've answered your question you can answer mine now :)

The people that buy Joshua fights don't feel fleeced. They buy them expecting to see knockouts and Joshua gives them that.

  9. So in other words, you basically became active member to come and see me

Now listen, I ain't gonna derail my own thread with bs, We're talking about this ppv card that was unjustified, now lets stick to the topic at hand

If you want to talk brook, sheffield, me or betting, you create your own thread, you hear? Now get...

Dunno, It had some decent fights (on paper) Macklin VS Rose was okay, Groves was one sided, the McDonnell fight was a waste of time. O Hara Davies was very one sided. Groves was very one sided - and so was the main event, the Selby fight was interesting.
At least some of the fights - well three were potential 50/50 but Joshua is HW champion so, expect more PPV...

lol okay sweetie. We all are laughing at you.

As for ppv worthiness some people DID have Martin as slight fave like your good self and the Fury camp. Even sky boys thought the fight would go longer than 2 rounds.

If a heavyweight championship shot isn't a ppv i don't know what is. A good 70% of ppv buyers only buy it for the main event if not more. The undercard is a bonus.

Will be interesting to see how many people brought it. Personally i watched it round a friends with one screen in HD and then split to 2 other tvs in SD as there was that many people over watching it. Great fun. Worth it.

Not a lover of all this PPV bollox but have to say on paper it was better than some of the **** Hearn has tried to kid us into believing is a great night of boxing"

Fair play to Joshua for winning but in all honesty EH and Sky have me wanting him to lose just to **** on their bonfire

Don't buy it if a measly 17 quid means that much to you.

  14. I got to be honest. I didn't expect to see a load of matchroom and sky fanboys trying to justify that car crash last night.

But yourself had Martin winning. A champion, of any type, getting Ko'd by a up and coming unproven fighter. Is that not worth ppv?
