Jesus what is wrong with boxing fans .. let the guy breathe .. just because he isn't immediately fighting Usyk whilst the Joshua saga is still ongoing he's avoiding undisputed is he? Usyk only won the fkin belts a few month ago & it's clear as day he would be obliged to fight Joshua again should the cash cow lose, which he did.. fkin attention seeking YT boxing channels trying to set the narrative .. Fury & Usyk aren't ducking anyone! .. so fk off

When Fury pulled out of the Wilder fight with Covid we heard similar sort of comments. "He's bottled it", "he doesn't fancy fighting Wilder again", "all talk and no action, he's ducking Wilder". Then (surprise surprise) he does fight Wilder a couple of months later and beats the hell out of him.

He'll come through and fight Usyk, I have no doubt.

Stop taking it so literally, it's ****ing theatrics.

They are fighters not balet dancers.

No let's compare Usyk's inactivity going into the AJ fight

One fight in 23 months, and two in 35 months, and he moseyed on over into the lion's den of AJ's backyard and proceeded to paddle the ass of the much bigger, longer, heavier and more powerful golden boy on a deck which couldn't have been stacked any more against him. Fury won't be having to travel to Usyk's backyard or fighting on a deck which is stacked against him let alone one which is heavily stacked against him, Usyk is the one who will be doing that.

Stop telling me what I'd be saying. If AJ pulled a move like this you would crucify him on a molten cross

Yes it is comparable. Do you understand what ''bit'' means? The point being that those two fights against scrubs and Usyk's fight against Witherspoon were not exactly the best preparation for either of them

But I don't hang on Fury's every word. I've said he says one thing one day and the complete opposite the next many times on here. My point is that he's clearly more worried about Usyk than he lets on and that Usyk is more of a real fighting man than he is and running away from that smoke and demanding a fight in the interim confirms that.

If it was just E-Hearn saying this I would treat it with more scepticism but it's also Alex Krassyuk and Team Usyk

I firmly believe the step aside money should be given to Usyk and that AJ should have to travel to Ukraine for the rematch for a fraction of the record breaking purse Usyk receives

The Fury defence force is laughable.

If wilder last year agreed to step aside and AJ then fought Usuyk instead of Fury the reaction on here would be nothing like we are seeing with Fury.

AJ would of been crucified and accused of ducking the Fury fight

"One fight in 23 months, and two in 35 months"

Usyk was fighting an opponent once every 12 months for 3 years before AJ: Bellew, Witherspoon, Chisora. Fury has been considerably more inactive than Usyk over the last two years and it's not close.

"deck which couldn't have been stacked any more against him"

Usyk has been the underdog in exactly one pro fight: AJ at 9/4. Fury has been the underdog in four career fights and was a 7/2 underdog against Wlad, with 5/6 of Fury's best opponents fought in their backyards. It has not been established where the Fury-Usyk fight will be held so claiming that Usyk will be travelling not Fury is an assertion with no evidence behind it. The most likely candidate at this stage is Saudi aka neutral territory.

AJ isn't in a position to pull a move like this because he keeps losing fights and forced a contractual agreement onto Usyk which has since backfired.

If Fury's two tune-ups in 6 months before Wilder are only a "bit" like Usyk's Witherspoon situation then how is it a good comparison? The context of Fury's comeback (severe depression, morbid obesity, drug and alcohol addiction, 2.5 years of inactivity rather than 1 year) is an essential part of the story.

Obviously Fury is more concerned about Usyk than he lets on; he regularly trashes all of his opponents even though he understands that the likes of Wlad and Wilder are very dangerous. After Wilder 1, Fury didn't immediately jump into a rematch and was accused of ducking Wilder, being scared of him etc. but he didn't care. He got two activity fights in and smashed Wilder to bits 15 months later. Usyk and his promoter wants the fight right now for the same reasons that you do: an inactive Fury is much more beatable and the AJ rematch is risky for Usyk, mostly due to the inevitable corruption.

Indeed. Plus Fury prevents AJ and Whyte from getting big paydays for nothing and probably results in both losing again.

Ducked every meaningful fighter he could have fought? SMH.

We don’t know he’ll be remembered as he’s not retired yet.

    Stop whining.

Tyson hasn’t said that he doesn’t want to fight Usyk.

He’s said that he doesn’t want to fight him NEXT.

Let him fight Whyte and let AJ fight his contractual rematch with Usyk.

AJ wouldn’t take step aside and fair play to him.

Come back and complain if Tyson doesn’t end up fighting Usyk at some point.
