The Mayweather-Pacquiao saga went on for at least 5 years, there is zero comparison. 8 months from when Fury-Whyte is scheduled is the end of 2022 and fighters need months to recover from fights to perform optimally, especially in their 30's. You want Usyk to fight an underprepared, inactive Fury and you worry that one way or another, AJ will beat Usyk in the rematch.

Speed and movement is more important for Usyk, it's his only route to victory against these super heavyweights.

8-12 months is what you said, you are happy for the fight to be pushed into 2023 when it should have been next. What does the fight need to get pushed back to 2023 for, there is more than enough time to fit the fight in this year.

Look, if the fight for undisputed happens this year i'll be happy, I just don't trust Fury one little bit.

By the looks of things I don’t see AJ Usyk happening in June now either, I see September at the earliest but they will fight, the fight won’t be in the UK either Saudi again to launch some sort of either online casino (I’m assuming I zoned out slightly mid conversation) or hotel in Ras al-Khaimah. Some sort of massive deal where they’ll do major events.

It's been 4 months since Joshua enacted his rematch clause and they still don't seem to be anywhere near agreeing anything.

I wonder at what point the contract expires?

If there are cuts/injuries it may have to be 12. Providing Fury beats Whyte, Usyk beats AJ again and there are no medical problems, the fight should happen at the end of the year. So far the Usyk-AJ 2 date hasn't even been announced and I wouldn't be surprised if Hearn tries to drag it out.

Just to remind anyone that forgot, this is the SECOND time Fury has ducked Usyk. Are the people who were making excuses for Fury in this thread the first time around ready to admit they were wrong now.....
