It's mind games by fury

If Aj goes on to win? The mega fight is back and it will do even MORE business

If (when) Usyk wins again? Then the Fury fight is even bigger than it is right now and will be huge in the second half of the year

Fury ain't ducking Usyk ffs.. Fury & Usyk fought recently after a LONG lay off , now all of a sudden Furys ducking because of some Joshua step aside story LMAO.. BS promoter damage control & total media spin.. Hearns knows Joshua is imploding and it's probably best not to take another loss right now so he's deflecting to fury who's got a ****ing Mandatory.. never mind fury you slimy **** get your boy back in there.. let the winner take all in the summer/early autumn.

I think it's reaching to suggest all that when we don't know. There's no indication he is "no longer interested" is there, just that the step aside thing fizzled out.

I think a likely explanation is that the step aside thing would've been ridiculously complex to work out and very expensive. The politics, egos and greed involved would've likely made the whole thing unworkable and would've taken months to arrange.

I'd have liked to have seen that outcome in the short term, but if it means we get Usyk vs Joshua 2 and then Fury vs Whyte (in the UK) then that's a good couple of fights.

    I agree with this take.

The more Hearn moans about this non stop, the worse it looks for him and AJ. He should have just said 'we couldn't reach a deal and that, AJ will happily get on with the rematch.

Fury has absolutely won the mind games again here, as Hearn looks totally rattled by the whole experience and prospect of the rematch.

They have swallowed the Fury games hook line and sinker.

I say the opposite. Hearn has showed Fury right up here. Hearn put it on Fury, "Fury had the option to go straight into a fight and decided not to".

Fury rsponds by not giving a answer why he hasn't fought Usyk (it's seems he doesn't have one as it's a duck) but a video with him and has mates with put on fake laughing rather than (which appears weird and insecure).

Fury needs to address the duck accusation and sign to fight one of Usyk or Whyte (and not Helenius or Charr FFS).

    Let's compare inactivity since 2020:

Usyk has fought twice (Chisora, AJ) in the last 15 months

Fury has fought twice (Wilder x2) in the last 23.5 months

Again, if the shoe was on the other foot, would you begrudge Usyk an activity fight against Whyte?

"Bit like how Seferi and a shot Pianeta weren't even decent sparring for Fury"

Not remotely comparable as Usyk didn't have to shed the equivalent of 10 stone in as many months, get off alcohol and cocaine and wasn't coming off 2.5 years of prior inactivity.

"Fury claimed to want that smoke, accused Usyk of being a coward and running in the opposite direction"

If you still hang on Fury's every word after all these years it's your fault for being a sucker. Just look back to last summer, when Fury said that a deal was on to fight AJ in Saudi. The very next day, it was announced that he was fighting Wilder in a trilogy, instead of reaching a deal for step-aside. Months of supposed negotiations in the toilet, months of mental and likely physical preparation for AJ wasted as he was fighting a 6'3 220 lbs southpaw instead. I'm sure Fury enjoys trolling his rivals but one of the practical benefits for him is to demoralise his opponents through frustration and doubt.

If Fury-Usyk doesn't happen within 12 months of the conclusion of Fury-Whyte and Usyk-Joshua 2, then and only then does the question of ducking arise. Until then it's the typical Hearn BS, who is frustrated that Fury has played him again and not allowed AJ to duck the Usyk rematch, while also exposing AJ's desire to duck (as well as Whyte's willingness to step aside from his title shot for money).

Hearn doesn't like a guy having three fights in a year. Too many heavywaits sitting about and ducking opponents

Why are people so interested in what Eddie Hearn says about Fury and Usyk?

I’m really starting to not like Fury. He’s calling Usyk a p*ssy, when Usyk is the exact opposite of a p*ssy…he’s willing to fight anyone on their home turf. I just want Fury to fight and stop talking so much BS.
