Seriously what the **** was Hearn thinking putting Brook in with Golovkin? I understand that it was a big pay day for Kell and he wanted to fight GGG but it's up to the promotor/manager and trainer to protect the fighter. Hearn was putting in him in with a big middleweight who is arguably the biggest puncher in boxing and Brook didn't stand a chance at winning. He was moving up to two weight classes ffs. It was all about the payday and PPV numbers. I honestly don't think Brook will ever recover from that beating I could see him touching his eye in the 2nd round tonight.

I'm not taking anything away from Spence btw. I thought he looked brilliant tonight. Great fight between two world class boxers.

Brook has to take responsbility for his own choices. He is the one who called Eddie and demanded to fight GGG in place of Eubank.

Granted Hearn should not have encouraged such a thought, however Brookhas to accept he is the one, who destroyed his own career.

Brook's career has been terribly mismanaged. For such a talented fighter his resume has been poor. You can't go from fighting guys like Bizier and Frankie Gavin to moving up two weights to fight an elite fighter like GGG.

A fight like Vargas would have been perfect for Brook instead of GGG but Eddie didn't wanna put up the money for it.

As far as resume and legacy he has been hugely mismanaged and imo should have based himself in America years ago. The timing and manner of this defeat is devastating for his career.

In term if money he has done well amd last night im guessing he took home around 5m?

As a boxing fan all i see is a wasted talent with Brook

How do you just give up your world title with only 2 rounds to go because of a swollen eye? Congratulations Errol Spence.

Eubank Jn showing his compassion & humility as per usual....

letting kell fight ggg has ruined him

    eddie hearn should be ashamed

you cant have your man fight cab drivers then face the biggest monster in the sport

the demons will never leave brook's mind now....he will always be worried about his eyes.....no one can afford to lose vision....

He should have fought Vargas, would have picked up another belt aswell. He had no chance against GGG.

Brook didn't demand to fight Golovkin. It was Hearn that gave him that option. Yes ultimately it was Brooks choice but that fight should never have been offered to him

This. Hearn clearly laid this idea out to Brook that it was a win win situation for them because it was a big padyday for him, Brook would gain a lot of respect for stepping up two weight classes and it would increase his profile in the states. Hearn was too focused on the money. I doubt Dominic Ingle was that pleased about the match up he looked like he wanted to pull Brook out first chance he got. In the end I honestly think that fight has cost Brook his career.

Also Hearn is talking about Brook moving up to 154 which would be the best thing for him because the cut to 147 is too much for him now but I dont think Brook can take big shots anymore and there's plenty of big punchers at 154. If he fights again I can see this eye socket problem occurring again. He's finished unfortunately. He could've had some big fights at 147/154.

He needs some good rest to recover. His facial bome structure must be a right mess

One of our best fighters has had a odd career . Massive potential wasted. Doubtful whether he can recover physically from this.

He should have never gone in with ggg he's shortened his career and missed out on possibly 5/6 big name fights
