Yep, agreed. The GGG fight should never have been offered to him. He's then fluctuated around weights, used weight as a reason for losing and then claimed he can make said weight for the Khan fight. Dude seems desperate and has 0 interest in fighting champions.

LOL- being British helped him make double the money, Porter, Thurman, Garcia, Spence has, because he has been able to become a UK PPV Fighter. At the end of the day, money is what drives everything. Brook has got a healthy bank balance and as long as he dosent waste it away. He’s had a good career.

So you're confirming that Thurman/Garcia did duck him then?

Considered they would have received a share of that UK PPV.

I just don’t think both of those felt like Superfights to Hearn and Brook. No-one ducked, it just never made buisness sense. That’s what led to Brook v GGG, but it came at a cost

So neither of those made sense but fighting Porter did?

He was mandatory so yes it made sense.

Problem is brook isn't a big name in US so to pay the other champs at 147. We know Thurman was offered the fight before Spence but he declined and money wanted to unification was huge and made no sense for matchroom. Brook was to high risk and little reward and the only way the others get paid well was if matchroom paid extortionate amount and take a loss. And it be in the US as nobody wanted to come to the UK.

Why is Brook embarrassing himself like this on live tv? Even when he had a belt he was begging for Khan to fight him why? He clearly can't make 147lbs and be alive at the same time yet he'd do it to face a guy who could have got knocked out by Sammy Vargas. Stick to 154lbs and have a go, maybe he does have a chance against those guys.

It's all about the money. He has confident a less than 100% be enough at 147 to make the weight and beat Khan as a 1 off. You have to remember when he faught Spence he ballooned after GGG fight to 190 DUE to eye injury and doing nothing. He had 14 weeks to cut weight and he was ill 2 times in fuentventra camp. It wasn't the best of camps as he spent most cutting weight. Also the IBF next day weigh in doesnt apply either. So the logic says he is more comfortable makinf the weight but question is can he perform? Maybe he is hoping a 75% brook still be good enough to beat Khan.

He wants that big pay cheque. It is potentially 2-3 times more than what he got against Golovkin. Then he will retire and eat all the kebabs he wants.

A lot of correct comments and highly forensic. The only thing I would quibble with is saying Hearns discas well as anyone could hope. It was a stupid decision by Hearn and Brook to face GGG and after that Spence Jr who is a better fight than GGG . Brook is a talented fighter and was the best at Welterweight until he faced Erroll Spence Jr.

Well at least Little Eddie has sold something out ... keep hearing AJ-Povetkin hasn’t sold out yet and it’s days away ... sold out in a minutes his previous two fights. The shine is off.
