Barring injuries the fight should take place this year. If it wasn't the plan than what was the point of Matchroom paying Usyk and the WBO the step-aside fee?
You're wrong on the former, liquid is by definition wet, it isn't only used to mean something covered in liquid. You're correct on the latter though, at this point inactivity will play its part no matter what even though he could overcome it. Boxers rely on ring sharpness more than a puncher would normally.
From a historical perspective, the champ moving up, would be given a shot at the title right away. It's like a champ respecting a champ kinda thing. I guess they figured if you're good enough to be a champ in the division right below me, you are good enough to get a shot. Personally I have no problem with Usyk getting a shot at this moment. Let the man challenge the bog boys. War Usyk!!!!!!
Doesn't make sense to do the fight this summer if they can wait three months and do it with a crowd of 100k. The financials will be a lot more workable post-Covid.
Thats what I've been saying. You can read through the lines to see Fury clearly wants a tune up fight. But i doubt its going to happen. The fight should be announced in 3 weeks. Also that pathetic world champion beat Klitschko with ease
Didnt he do business when he fought for the WBC belt and won it 6 months later? When you start name calling then you know i have already won
This is basic stuff, and no doubt this is the first time you've been told that water isn't wet. You're in an absolute state of shock and you're trying to save face by reporting what you've found on some Google search, but I don't believe that any of the worst pseudo-scienctific reports could come up with anything that bad. That tells me that you simply don't know what you're talking about. Water is the compound of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. It is of course a liquid. Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid. When something is 'wet', it means that the liquid is attached to the surface of a solid. A liquid by itself simply cannot be wet. As I have said, to be wet, by any definition, is for a solid to be covered or even saturated in water or by another type of liquid. Water itself cannot saturate water, because when you try to cover or saturate water with water, you end up with more water. To define "wet" as "something that is made from liquid" is hilariously bad. You're welcome.
Imagine it doesn't happen in summer & this was all just a ruse a big ploy for Arum & Eddie to promote their respective golden gooses
I imagine it's also a ploy for Joshua to duck/shelve Usyk whilst keeping the fans onside. Last time we had a mandated a WBO HW title fight: J. Parker v H. Fury, September 2017 4 - nearly 3.5 years ago! Usyk confirmed as WBO mandatory: June 2019 - 20 months and counting. Remember the outrage when it came to Whyte being screwed over by the WBC on behalf of Wilder/Haymon: it was splashed across the newspapers, and had boxing luminaries ranting about it. Usyk getting screwed over by WBO on behalf of Joshua/Hearn: crickets... smh
Well if we do actually get the fight between the number 1 and number 2 heavy weight this summer, then wonderful. But if we don't, will the WBO enforce the long overdue mandatory, or will they just allow Usyk to get old on the shelf? Like, why are they even mandating a fight between Usyk and Joyce? Surely if they were going to mandate, what is in effect, a final eliminator, they should have done it between Usyk and Whyte back in 2019. Actually, Whyte's story is becoming a tragic comedy at this point. I feel bad for the guy, but you just have to laugh.
A boxing promoter lied? Reminds me of that comedy when the lad used to screech, "I dont be-LIEVE it." The best line ever is when Bob Arum said, "Yesterday I was lying. Today Im telling the truth."
