I don't think american promotors could deal with IFL level coverage.

Love or hate hearn he is probably the straightest talking promoter out there and isn't afraid to put he's fighters in hard fights.
Some of the state side promoters would end up contradicting themselves so much after a few IFL style interviews they would just be sick of it and being ridiculed.

Can you imagine dibella and wilder having almost daily IFL interviews? After about a week wilder would look like a schizophrenic

    I agree.

Regardless if he is or isn't Hearn comes across as honest in those interviews.

He is transparent and very funny sometimes. He tells you details about negotiations that normal promoters don't, he explains things about costs, numbers and what fighters ask for. Hearn spills the beans on fighters also, he lays it all out and let's the viewer make their own mind up.

Don't misunderstand me, it's sometimes very calculated and manipulative but it works and it is very interesting.

In my opinion that's why he is not liked by the US promoters, it's like the magicians circle, they don't want the secrets getting out and they don't want what's said in negotiations on IFL because Hearn will reveal it and it flys against what they come out and say.

And like @gmurphy says, Hearn will take a gamble, he will invest, take calculated risks and does not mind putting his fighters in hard fights so long as they are paid well. If offers are good enough he will let his fighters go and fight on other shows so long as it benefits his fighter, that's a huge thing, he won't stop fights happening because of his ego and I don't think other promoters do that.
