Hearn absolutely fleeced the gullible boxing fans when he was charging money on top of the sky subscription to watch Joshua beat absolutely dire opponents like Eric Molina and so on.

The fans can only blame themselves for paying it. If nobody paid it, Hearn would never have been able to keep doing it.

Eubank v Benn for the family bragging rights shows the mugs will still fork out in huge numbers.

    They never learn.

I don’t think people should be called mugs by paying for what they believe is an evening of entertainment. Us, as knowledgeable boxing fans see overhyped fights for what they are, including this one and I personally won’t be watching, but if people want to PPV 20 quid or whatever it is to socialise with their mates and watch a bit of boxing of an evening then that’s up to them. Doesn’t mean they are mugs, they probably enjoy watching it. Everything costs money these days I’m afraid.

The informed boxing fan and all within boxing know they are mugging off the public.

Not even title fight between 1 British Level Boxer and 1 Essex Area Level Boxer which is never Box Office for me.

All to their own as you say but I really grudge Benn taking piles of loot amounting to millions of pounds, having achieved nothing in the sport, apart from a bad reputation following failed drugs tests.

Of course it isn’t, but we know boxing don’t we? Box office used to be for high level performers and events only. Mayweather, Pacman, Naz etc. Not now, but the game has changed and casuals lap any crap up with an alleged story or bit of pretend needle being pushed by some rat promoter. However they seem to love it, so let them crack on and bring eyes to the sport.

Ref Benn, he will get what’s coming to him soon enough, not by Eubank though. Most likely beaten up at 147 by Boots when Hearn sells him out. We agree he is worst in boxing and a scumbag.

Yes that's the part that annoys me the most, an unaccomplished boxer earning life changing amounts of money, while far more worthy fighters toil in obscurity

Listening to Frank Smith, he's sounding like Eddie has an exit plan that's 5-7 yr away and Frank is all aboard

Hearn came into boxing and tried to make out he was trying to change things for the better. Purses, fights, fan value minimal PPV :nonono

He's just in a long line of promoters that simply will take the most cash they can for the better fighters in his stable for the weakest opponent where possible. AJ prime example, looking after the cash cow.

If it makes money it makes sense, Jr v Benn just another gimmick fight where the coin is easy to take.

Fighters will take any decent purse on offer but should be guided by a good promoter. Think back to when he had Brook jump up two weights to face a killer like GGG at 160. The promoter looking after his fighter wouldn't of even offered the fight unless the fighter himself was looking for a last big payday. Brook could of said no and not had his orbital bone smashed in. Hearn should never of even thought it was a sensible fight, he saw the money not the fighters long term career.

    Introducing the man named Frank
Comes across as a total wank
The boxing trade he did not learn
Just sat and watched Eddie Hearn

He once observed Bakole eating 6 huge pies
Then suddenly clicked that Eddie tells lies
Mr Smith now considering walking away
His days appear numbered down Matchroom Way

Warden turns up with a few rapid shoulder rolls
Persuading young Frank to keep talking balls
When Eddie is gone, doors will open
We will need somebody to spin Mr Henn's doping
