What is with Hearn's obsession with Buatsi? why overtake Zurdo who is WBA mandatory?

Buatsi trainer Virgil Hunter believes Buatsi is not ready for Bivol (after Craig Richards fight) and cites Beterbiev fight for Bivol is 'brain damage' inducing.

Classical boxing politics - what should have been the case is Bivol vs Beterbiev for Undisputed (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring Magazine and Lineal)

And a huge UK domestic clash in Buatsi vs Yarde.

Instead, we're getting Yarde vs Beterbiev and Bivol vs Buatsi.

Watch Bivol face Canelo early 2023 for the rematch and Beterbiev once he gets past Yarde be given the WBC mandatory (between Callum smith or Bauderlique) since we don't have a clear IBF mandatory at the moment (since Meng lost to Pascal).

Oh Buatsi vs Yarde, hadn't even thought of it but it makes so much more sense. The winner of that has a much better claim to be a mandatory for an undisputed title. Zurdo doesn't have the world's best resume but he's been a world champ before so that's a decent qualification.

The worst part of Bivol vs Buatsi and Beterbiev vs Yarde followed by Bivol vs Canelo II and Beterbiev vs Smith/Bauderlique isn't delaying the gratification of seeing Beterbiev vs Bivol.

Beterbiev is old and Bivol can be dry and technical plus both are of a highly robbable heritage, what if one of these guys loses? The other will get a knockover opponent for undisputed or if both lose we get an fight like Haney vs Kambosos where the undisputed champ isn't universally regarded as the best.

Surely it would be better just to wait for Buatsi to fight for a vacant title. Callum Smith will fight Baudelique in a WBC eliminator next and there’s potentially a unification clash there next.

Bivol should be careful about fighting Buatsi, especially in the UK, as Hearn will do everything in his power to rob Bivol. He almost did this against Craig Richards.

Buatsi vs Yarde didn't happen has Warren turned down the offer from MR. I don't think Warren favours his guy in this potential fight (rightly so in my opinion).

You are assuming both Russians beat the young hungry British fighters going for glory. Buatsi is a tougher fight for Bivol than Canelo and as Beterbiev vs Yarde we shall find out once and for all if Yarde’s Uncle Tunde’s System 9 works or not. What I will say is Yarde is in a better head space now than against Kovalev in Russia. Yes Virgil Hunter would ideally like another fight or 2 with Buatsi before the Bivol fight but he is not saying Josh can’t win because he can but will need to channel his inner Andre Ward.

You mean use head butts and low blows, and pay off the referee and judges?

Disgusting this fight is being made and yet another obstacle has been put in the way of the undisputed match up between Bivol and Beterbiev which is one of the top 3 match ups to me made in the sport right now. Hopefully Bivol knocks Buatsi out because he was almost robbed blind against the last two E-Hearn fighters he fought and Buatsi is one of E-Hearns' favourites so the chances of them robbing Bivol even if he dominates him like he did Clenelo and Richards are high.

    115-113, 115-113, 115-113 against Clenelo

    115-114, 115-113, 118-110 against Richards

    That's five criminal scorecards

I don't think so. I watched Buatsi vs Richards and I didn't like what I saw.

This is basically sink or swim for Buatsi. Either he lives up to the hype or he fades into obscurity. I think Eddie is cashing out either way

    >but this gets in the way of undisputed @ 175
I honestly have no expectation for that in 2023 or EVER, so meh
