I see no problem with it personally, I also watch the women in UFC and that is brutal, I live in London so maybe I'm just used to seeing drunk women beat the snot out of each other most weekends.

I hear a lot of men say they don't like watching women fight, a mate of mine actually says it makes him feel sick, seriously turns his stomach.

I think we need to remember women can be brutal, vicious and spiteful and if they want to have a tear up then I'm glad they are fighting each other and not kicking the granny out of me.

It's not the 70's folks. I'm half expecting to see Bernard Manning post his thoughts on here.

Boxing is a brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable sport that both men and women should be able to enjoy and compete at.

Katie Taylor is a fantastic boxer and I'm looking forward to seeing her fight.

Also if anyone thinks female boxing is a joke check out the below link:

Would you want to step up against her?.....I'd run :)

If women want box then fine, but it when it comes to the pros, don't put it on along side men's boxing because it isn't good enough, even Katie Taylor. Would you want to see Skysports putting women's football on in slots usually reserved for proper football? Of course you wouldn't, if you tuned into Skysports Super Sunday and saw a bunch of splitarses kicking a ball around you would be happy would you and I imagine you'd feel like you were being ripped off.

Same applies if I'm parting with my hard earned cash to watch a night of professional prize fighting and end up sitting through girls pitter pattering at each other, doing 2 minute rounds.

Then don't watch. By your reasoning no one cares about Rhonda rousey or Serena Williams, too massive female sports stars. Women's boxing will catch on when they find their marketable star.

And regarding womens football you are correct. The issue is I couldn't sit through 90 mins of overpaid male show ponies running after a ball either!
