The bloke's just a ***** mate. That's what's off with him. Never understood the love in there's been for him on here at times.
Agreed. It is strange at times, almost seems like he hates boxing sometimes the way he goes on to people on Talk Sport.
That's not Jordan, it's talksports 'modus operandi'. Most shows have a pair of presenters playing 'good cop' 'bad cop' to try and draw an argument or reaction out of the guest. Either that or the presenter makes really controversial opinions to draw controversy and debate on the phone in shows - radios equivalent of clickbait. Adrian Durham on the football shows is a prime example, im not sure even he believes some of the rubbish he spouts but it works for the station and his career because it keeps people listening. I actually thought on this recent episode both Hearn & Jordan came across quite well, as they were discussing some decent topics in boxing rather than the petty squabbling when they have previously met.
You are right in a sense that there is a "good cop, bad cop" sort of dynamic, but to say "that's not Jordan" is totally wrong. That very much is Jordan. He's not having to ham it up or act to fit that role. That's totally him. He needs to be "the man" in the room at all times and if he isn't, he's totally out of his element. He certainly revels in settings in which he is the intellect, like when he's taking the **** out of Danny Murphy.

That episode is over a year old and you're still talking about it - looks like Jordan has done exactly what talksport have asked of him
The guy hates Jordan but knows his entire back catalogue. Weird. Has a very similar tone in his posts to other past accounts
Nah, Hearn just equals clicks and views as his fan boys and haters get their knickers in a twist over anything good or bad said about him. If he didn't attract that many views Jordan wouldn't give 2 shits. It's literally all about engagement nothing more.
Your 2nd paragraph nails it. They are the king of baiting as far as radio stations go. Listen long enough, and if you believe that even half of the people that call in are genuine calls, you’re a mental case. They spout bollocks to encourage calls. It’s absolutely obvious.
I couldn't care less about Jordan or Hearn. I listen in to Jordan sometimes because it's entertainment. That's all it is and should be to anyone. I don't know what's wrong with pointing out the obvious insecurities the bloke has. That's entertainment in itself. Hearn, who's a snake, is much more charismatic (although that wouldn't be hard), has the ability to remain composed, and actually has a sense of humour outside the realms of taking the **** out of thicker colleagues. FFS hardly mate. Is it that weird to have watched a bit of Talksport and the three Jordan and Hearn shows?
I find them both entertaining in different ways, exactly as you say. I've no doubt they'd both sell their granny for a pound note. Jordan's book on his time running Palace is required reading for anyone interested in the business of football, as were his columns in the Guardian as an outspoken chairman. It's pretty unfortunate what happened to him and purely bad timing, but he's hardly in the poor house now and you can tell he does TalkSport for the laughs (and to give himself a megaphone).
I don't mind Jordan or Talk Sport in small doses. They are far from experts on boxing, or many other sports for that matter, so if you are looking for quality in depth analysis on a particular sport you are into, then these aren't the guys for that. A lot of UK sports shows are like this. If it isn't football, then they don't have the knowledge to scratch beyond the surface. Jordan can be a dick, but I don't mind him having a go at Hearn or anyone else in boxing. The sport is easily the shittest run sport in the world, so any half decent journalist is going to point out the many flaws in the business and utter bollocks that all promoters spew. Boxing journalists are used to how the sport is run as they have to live through it year after year. Their livelihood depends on it, so many just go with the flow and ignore the corruption, hypocrisy and utter nonsense of the politics of the sport. Sometimes it's the outsider journalists, the more causal fans of the sport, who are more truthful and don't mind speaking out about the utter **** show of how boxing is run. These guys jobs aren't solely dependent on boxing, so they can be more honest. Jordan falls into this latter category. He's far from perfect, but anyone who points out the crap and hypocrisy that promoters regularly spew, and highlights corruption and shite matchmaking is far better for the sport than the brown noses with their heads in the sand.
