Eddie Hearn wants DAZN to increase rates from 20$ to 50$ a month

My problem with DAZN is that they force you into automatically renewing each month. That's a turn off.

 

That's most subscriptions.

 

So did I. I wouldn't renew if it is bumped. Why pay for something you can get a day later unless the live cost is fair?

 

I subscribe to DAZN, you dummy. And I'm saying they could increase the price some and I think that would be fine. Just not to $50/month, which would be an insane increase.

DAZN charges 99$ for a year. Compare that to PPV, it ain't a lot.
And 50$ a month is still less than many PPVs.
So what are you talking about, really?

 

I agree the current price is good. I'd also happily pay $250/year if that's what they need to do.

But very, very few people spend $600/year on PPVs, so that's a horrible price should DAZN move in that direction. Read the first post in the thread.

If you buy monthly subscription you don't buy an acces for every month just few of them. And if the price for whole year will be twice the price for a month then everyone will buy the 99$ one and that's Eddie's goal I think.

I'll be cancelling if they do that. I'm already on the fence after that Canelo-Kovalev late night start stunt because of the UFC fight they pulled a couple of months ago.

 

It is just Hearns spewing nonsense. Like his over inflated PPV predictions. He is high if he thinks they can maintain the million subs if they hike the price to $50. On top of that most people like to know what matches they are going to pay for before paying for it. I don’t pay for **** fights that are PPV. It’s the principal of the matter that I’d be paying for a crap fight with paying the upfront money.
