Come on people quit justifying everything Hearn promotes. Quality is better than quantity, who cares if they have all these boxing matches if 95% are fights people will not watch.
Greed. Plain and simple. Greed. Hes also showing hes a sh@t business man who doesnt know how to grow his service. You don't raise the price you raise the subscribers till you can start breaking even or even making a profit then you start raising the price a little at a time. It sounds to me like this DAZN idea wasn't well thought out and is now in the red and hes desperately trying to fix it. He likely overestimated the number of subscribers and grows of subscriptions. He then stupidly started giving out tons of cash on an assumption of his return on investment. Id be very surprised if DAZN exists in 5 years.
95% of all boxing matches people wont watch.... who has offered the best offering last year DAZN, FOX, Showtime, ESPN. For me this is clearly DAZN and at a price that is unreal compared to the others.
Oh yeah terrible businessman... how many multinational services have you launched? he probably needs to hire you lol. DAZN already did this tactic by raising the monthly sub from $10 to $20 to stop people dipping in and out. They can clearly operate on a $10 price point but require those subscribers to be there for 12 months for it to be financially viable. So he is saying that he feels they should be harsher and try and drive people to the $99 yearly sub. He made a tongue in cheek comment that everyone seems to take so seriously. The sub price is nothing to do with Hearn. Everyone needs to relax and just enjoy what DAZN is offering as its great for boxing
