The hope is Brook vacates rather than go to the UK to take on Brook. I don't think they want Brook period, as Haymon could of offered Brook a deal months and months ago to get Brook to the US but wasn't interested.

Hearn does speak some sense though, would you really put Spence in with Brook at this stage of his career in the UK?

This is what I have always thought. Sending Spence to the UK in such a risky fight which wouldn't be a huge payday just doesn't seem like a smart move. Spence may want it but its not up to him.

Fighting over here is intense and Haymon can get Spence in vs Garcia or Thurman (Amir Khan wont say ****).

Where is the journalists on the site and there articles. They love Spence and at every opportunity like to claim Brook is trying to swerve Spence.

Brook is not going to fight Spence, he knows he can't win just like the GGG fight and even though he probably gets paid even more against Spence as he gets the lions share 75-25, this time he has to put his belt and reputation on the line!!!!!

Getting smashed up by Spence isn't going to make him a hero this time.

Why does Hearn say if Spence is as good as his team think he is and he was his manager he wouldn't send him to the UK for 25%, this is an easy fight for Spence.

Now Hearn has said he doesn't want Brook to fight Spence as he'll be weight drained, and wants him to fight at 154 instead. Brook wants the fight.
I get the impression Brook has no issue fighting anyone. Its Hearn who's held him back. Brooks next two fights will decide how hes remembered. If Hearn puts him in against some can at 154 next up, you suspect he'll always be regarded as an overprotected fighter.
Its a shame because I reckon hes been the best fighter at 147 for a number of years, but just never had the chance to prove it. Now though, I'm not so sure. I think Spence may turn out to be the real deal.

I have never seen a fighter get punched in the face during negotiations?

Ffs the fight wouldn't take place until months after the fight is signed and he would have no excuses because he would have been cleared long before the fight took place?

Didn't he get smashed up early September? At the very earliest it would have taken place in March and with the 2month extension now it seems May or June?

Hearn has been trying to get every fight under the sun while this extension has been in place, why did they need it?

If he can negotiate with Khan, why can't he negotiate with Spence?

I am interested to hear your response to these cowardly actions?

 

It doesn't matter what the purse bid is Brook will demand Ppv upside, Spence won't be entitled to any upside.

If this fight does half the buys Brook vs GGG did then he will get the same amount, I expect it will do 3/4 so Brook will get more!!!!

 

Spence needs to respond to the offers for negotiations to begin. You can't negotiate with a wall.

That being said, I'm not going to blame Spence if he doesn't want to go to the UK at this stage of his career, it's a huge risk at this stage of his career.
