Indeed I did. Be careful what you say on here in respect of the individual in question. You might as well be in a police cell with the tape recorder on.
Only post from a internet cafe or public wifi, then they can suck balls! You should have said you were seeking legal advice and couldnt speak to them hope ur well mate:good
Mate, I got the red card for 10 days for the appreciation thread......apparently I'm the only one on the forum not allowed to use the "VV" I was expecting death row.....
Just sign up with a non personal email address and use an IP scrambler then petty minded individuals will find it hard to play big bully (edit: you do need to know a tech beast for that so not an easy option so best to be careful!)
Haha.... I sought legal advice from Allegedly's brief - ''if I say sorry and promise not to do it again, will it be alright''. The answer was yes, much to my relief. I don't fancy turning up at my mothers with my bags packed, and having to tell her that I'd lost my house for slagging off Allegedly on the internet. You've also got to consider the length that these people will go to, to keep people's mouths closed. They really are obsessed. Skinny Allegedly jr accused Glyn Leach of libelling him on twitter about a year ago over absolutely nothing, from memory it was over criticism of an opponent or some ****. The lawyers are on speed dial. On Boxrec someone is paid to keep tabs on what is written as far as I can see, it's the only logical explanation as to why any relevant subject matter is edited almost immediately.
I'm not sure if anyone has ever seen the same footage that I have, but the attitude towards ''dissenters'' or any criticism at Allegedly Towers is the same when Saddam Hussein ordered a man be executed for heckling him during a speech not long after he took power. Or ''Comical Ali'' of 2003 fame. ''Boxnation has millions of subscribers'' ''We aren't losing a fortune on every show'' - despite what the accounts lodged at companies house say :hey
And that's all they wanted mate. They never had any intention of taking it further, just to put the frighteners on you. They would have looked at your number of posts and seen you post regularly here and just wanted to influence what you write in the future. I haven't been able to get on here as much as others and can't remember the detail of what brought you to their attention now. But think about it - how many people would've seen what you wrote and how long was it up for? By pursuing you they would've brought whatever you wrote to far wider attention. And if they'd had any intention of taking it further a private 'sorry' wouldn't have cut any ice. Most of the people on here are just regular fans so are easy targets if a flash lawyer were to suddenly contact them out of the blue. And picking on you seems even more out of kilter with the 'war' that seems to be going on on this forum of late between parties with vested interests. Also, that team of flash lawyers could get unlucky one day and try and pick on somebody who they assume to be a regular fan on a forum like this, but who could crush them and the person behind them with his spare change.
TOR browser should do it, free download from firefox, takes about 5 minutes! It is a bit sad that someone should have to go to these lengths to post on a forum but you can't really hold it against ESB, they're the ones who would most likely be paying silly fines so I think they have the right to protect themselves!
I don't know enough about it myself but a mate did say TOR slowed his speed down a fair bit I think. As Beeston said best just to be careful as it isn't worth the hassle unless you've got the security of a large wallet. And as you say the adminstrators of this site can't be blamed for being too careful either.
