I like Eddie and think he’s done good things for British boxing, but recent sound bites are that he’s just all about America now? Leaving the UK with very little.

You have Eubank Jr - Degale on Saturday night, which isn’t even that big. When’s the next big fight after that? Doesn’t seem like there’s much coming which is disappointing.

The DAZN deal means that he is obligated to give the American market more coverage.

Yeah I posted this in another thread but seems more relevant in this one.

This is one of the reasons why sky are clearly annoyed with these dazn cards he keeps taking Brits over to there to fill out his cards now I know this is ppv so sky will have less issue but look at for example Johnson vs beterbiev that could of headlined a sky card on regular tv but no it was an undercard fight in the states and we had cheeseman vs Garcia headlining over here.

He also has obligations to Sky in the UK. It's widely known that Sky were not happy with the Cheeseman card. He runs the risk of promising everything to everyone but spreading himself too thin. As a UK fan, I'd rather not have more and more content shifted to silly o'clock.

Exactly. I don’t mind doing it here and there but soon it’s gonna be every week staying up to see the fights you want.

Yep. And I think it would be great if there was decent American talent coming the other way but it's rather infrequent (partly because I think US fighters don't like traveling).

Yeah I have a semi-casual friend and was chatting to him today and he said there is no Matchroom fights announced this year in the UK that interest him to go watch live. There's no Joshua, Bellew / Haye retired, Callum Smith / Khan / Brook all fighting in the states, Whyte had no date yet etc. etc.

In the space of a few months in 2017 you had Haye - Bellew, AJ - Wlad and Brook - Spence. Whatever your thoughts, those are big fights and this year is gonna fall well short.

I wouldn’t rule out Whyte fighting abroad next aswell.

This is the beginning of the end for Hearn and Sky. Screencap this!

Once you conquer a territory you move onto the next to conquer. Emperor Eddie's empire is expanding exponentially every day (some rather excellent use of the letter E even if I do say so myself).
