Real nasty streak to him hasn’t he - from the pressure he was putting Shalom under about Clarke to talking about Simon Jordan finances and calling him a disc jockey because Jordan rightfully calls him a disgrace over the Benn incident. Makes you wonder if the Jodie Marsh rumours are true
I remember when he started making waves in the boxing world, he would do lots of interviews to various media outlets, especially YouTube channels like IFLTV. It was quite refreshing to get some insight into what was going on behind the scenes. During his Sky days he was a little bit more messured and professional, but since he joined DAZN I've found him a bit insufferable if I'm honest. He's very combative and defencive, maybe that's down to having more competition at present, I don't know. I don't really bother with his IFLTV, Kugan and Parsons banter bus, it's a bit boring now. I'd rather hear less from promoters in general and just have good fights to talk about.
To be fair where SJ is concerned I think it was fair game for Eddie to say those things, SJ has a hard on for Eddie and will snipe at him at every opportunity. But yea I dont like how he handled Connor Benn at all.
Used to like the guy but that all changed when he reneged on his promise that DAZN was the beginning of the end for PPV
Of course they were, apparently he terrorised her. He’s lost his popularity as a promoter now too. Used to like him, but those days are long gone.
Jordan took a personal dig at Hearn first, so Hearn had a pop back. I’m not sure that’s evidence of him being nasty.
Hearn and Jordan are too sides of the same coin, both very good salesmen and like all narcissists the thing they sell best is themselves. It's also the reason why Jordan calls Eddie out, simply because he knows his own tricks best and see's his past self in Eddie. Jordan has just reinvented himself in recent years behind a new false-self, much like Eddie when he got into boxing, and I have no doubt the Jodie Marsh stories are 100 % true. It's also why Hearn and Joshua are such good pal's, bullies gravitate towards one another.
He must be under some serious pressure, this change in behaviour to snappy and malicious coupled with obvious and rapid hair loss all point towards stress. He used to come across as humorous and quite light hearted with his banter but he's just evolved into throwing out unpleasant comments and a complete arrogance and distain towards anybody who dare challenge his narrative. Shame he's turning out this way, just adds to a list of factors that turn general sports fans away from boxing
Just listened to him on DAZN UK discussing the card on Saturday - the bull flows so natural in that private school voice.
Poor Ed, he can't stop talking about Tyson Fury and now Fr£nk W. Pressure must be massive - Benn and Whyte drug ped scandal, also taking on Mr Jordan & talksport.
of all the terrible things Hearn has definitely done, being horrible to Jodie Marsh is one I'm happy to support.
