What an absolute humdinger of a thread. I couldn't agree more with this scintillating analysis.

Tubby Essex camera-hog Hearn knows full well his cash cow is packing Glass and would rather sell out Wembley for fights against Cameroonian roadsweepers and Russian has-beens than have him exposed against flailing amateur Wilder. Lollll

    Wonderful retort 46

As limited as Joshua is, I don't think he himself wishes to be known as a cowardly custard ducker, there must be a great deal of tension between Joshua and Hearn and his greedy slave contract. That tensions going to get much worse when Fury sweeps up Joshua's future legacy with a convincing win over Wilder, leaving Joshua to hoover up Wilder's remains in any future fight, just like what happened with Vlad.

Fury will also then be the man again in the division, still the lineal champion and taking the 0 from the fighter Joshua ducked. I wouldn't be surprised if Fury retired again after the victory, leaving Joshua to continue fighting the likes of Chisora, Shannon Briggs, and a returning David Haye.

It's Hearn and Joshua's own fault. Frank and Tyson were smart enough to see the opening.

Joshua needs the winner of the Wilder-Fury fight and vice versa. Every properly managed fighter looks at the risk vs reward when choosiing fights. Wilder didn't bring enough to the table for Joshua's team to take the risk immediatly. It's not hard to understand that from a business perspective. Once Wilder knew he didn't bring enough to the table to get the deal he wanted he moved on to the second biggest fight he could make. If he wins he has more to bring to the table for the Joshua fight. I wanted the Joshua-Wilder fight to happen next but I understand why it didn't. If they both win I think they will fight.

What I was thinking when reading this thread is that unlike the recent past there is some quality just below the surface, such as Hrgovic, Dychko, Usyk ... to name a few, who are probably going to make waves at HW in the not too distant future. Some solid HW prospects coming out of eastern Europe and Africa (but based in UK/Canada/US).

The Joshua/Wilder/Fury/Povetkin/Ortiz/Whyte/Parker/Miller match-ups have a limited window before the field gets more crowded.

If Joshua/Wilder, and especially Fury take a loss, they may well have dangerous new-comers with zeros next to their names coming after them too, and competing for belt shots.

My point is ... it's probably best for these current top HWs not to waste their time at the top, and get these fights that fans want happening, because with injuries and such possibly causing lay-offs, 2 or so years from now there's a good chance that they'll be sharing the limelight with quite a few other high quality HW players attracting fan's attention.

I don't rate Wilder at all but it was the biggest fight out there for Joshua financially and legacy wise by becoming undisputed champion.

Eddie Hearn has robbed Joshua of the easiest £40m of his life, now a shot to **** Tyson Fury is gonna take that easy payday off him for good by putting a comprehensive clinic on Wilder

It's a solid point you make, and Hearn does focus on how much Joshua earns when previously his emphasis was the belts and legacy.

I’m sorry but every offer of a fight Hearn has put Wilders way would have been a record payday for him.
5, 7 and 15 million respectively for Chisora, Whyte and Joshua ..... I mean how can you come conclude that the man offering someone more money than they have earnt in their life is the one being greedy.

I am no Hearn fanboy but I think he has really tried to make the fight happen and I can’t blame Josh for wanting to keep the WBA belt, he wants to make history and hold the big 4 and ring at same time.

If anyone is being greedy it’s team Wilder.

Styles make fights. Joshua has a poor chin but is a really good Boxer. Fury is an overated Boxer with a good chin and Wilder is a terrible Boxer with amazing power. So Eddie wouldnt want to put AJ in with Wilder but would with Fury, Now Fury is guna fight Wilder for the belt and if he wins there will be a massive Fury v AJ clash in the UK.

So Wilder beats Joshua, But Fury beats Wilder and then Fury Vs Joshua in the UK in a much bigger fight for more money than Joshua vs Wilder makes and Joshua still ends up with loads of money and all the belts. His legacy wont be mortally damaged by him and Wilder not making that fight and at the end of the day hes got everything he wanted.

Dont get me wrong im not believing what ive said but if all that the haters are saying was true then the reality is the above. Should Wilder beat Fury Eddie has work to do but if all goes well he is laughing all the way to the bank. 1 or 2 things like this are not going to ruin Anthony Joshuas legacy.

And to be honest when the confidenciality clauses are forgotten about in the Fury Wilder fight and it becomes clear that they earned about 5 Million Dollars between them and the PPV hasnt done very well at all it will make a mockery of Wilder, Finkel and their mathmatics of just how much they claim they are worth or deserve.

If the fight happens ofcourse, some people still convinced its nothing more than a publicity stunt.
