Apparently Hearn will be visiting several different boozers this coming week to take the temperature of the real boxing decision makers so expect him to start adding slightly higher quality fighters to his stable sooner rather than later.

Nick Campbell, heavyweight. He was on the Benn undercard. I don’t know if Hearn has signed him but he was bigging him up and justifying himself a bit in the interview after it as if he was one of his lads.

No offence to the big man but the chance of him doing something in boxing are slim to none.came across as a bit gimmicky tbh.big Scottish heavyweight ex Glasgow warrior etc etc.

Ah, yes I think from the way Eddie came alongside him and talked him up in the post fight interview that we may be following his 'story' for at least a couple of fights. Although I suspect his ceiling is fodder for Babic or similar down the line. Dave Allen 2.0 if he's lucky.

He looks at least 2 levels below Gary Cornish from what I seen so you might be right.

He isn’t signed and knows there’s money in heavyweights domestic Or otherwise.

Hearn said in the interview he’s got a long way to go. So sounds like you have a bit of an agenda.

guy just won his debut on an undercard and you want Hearn to lay into him?

Woah. You got all that from what? I said I don’t want to be harsh.

I said I dunno if he’s been signed but he’s on the card as the fighter who Hearn wants to win. Hearn made that quite obvious after the fight. As others have said he it came across gimmicky. Hearn was using the ex rugby gimmick to mask the shocking standard he was serving up.

I love domestic stuff but he looked like a big gangly 13 year old who hasn’t grew into his body and had literally just walked into the gym that day. Nothing wrong with that. They shouldn’t fighting on Sky for paying viewers though.

Everyone’s benchmark ‘bum laughing stock’ on here is David Price. Domestic level at best everyone says. What would happen, even 2 years down the line if them 2 fought? Price would take his head clean off.

Seems like you have an agenda of being a Hearn bummer.

Do you remember the 5 foot 9 cruiser weight he fought as well?

I’m not blaming Campbell I’m blaming Hearn. That whole card was horrendous and he stands next to the lad trying overly hard to justify it.

Now now you singled out the tall Scottish lad in a thread about Matchroom prospects knowing he’s not a Matchroom prospect. He’s had one fight and Hearn stuck him on a show. Calm down a bit that’s all I’m saying.
Frank doesn’t get the same heat for Adeleye amd that’s his actual fighter.

Hearn puts on what the Sky budget allows. Without a pandemic that fight is curtain jerker on a Glasgow card.

Can’t be on a thread about Matchroom prospects talking rubbish kid

Of interest who else would you have signed in the last 18 months? You’ve got about 10 lads / lasses who have decided to fend off turning pro due to the olympics being delayed 12 months, that’s where the normal stars come from. Then outside of that you’ve got to either look at the good amateurs that didn’t make the Olympics, which he has done, or you’ve got to wait and let your scouts find someone off the small hall shows.

Interested to hear who you think he’s missed out on though.

The postponement of the Olympics has surely stopped the next crop of amateurs turning pro for him to sign?
