Thats fair enough and understandable, but the general public shouldn't be charged a surcharge to watch that ****. PPVs should have a mega headliner and a stellar under card, this one has neither unfortunately.

All that is true, as I've said I only really care about the Froch fight as I'll be watching the football.

It should be on regular Sky, but as a huge Froch fan I'll cough up the money.

 

Why not? your paying for a fight which you previously seen for free? the same fans Im guessing would like to see the re-match but not want to pay 15quid for it..

this tout stuff is being overplayed. Theres little Hearn can do about the fact touts are even interested shows the fight has crossover appeal. I didn't see them buying up tickets for the Blackpool show.

Also Hearn said theres a 10,000 person waiting list for tickets. I doubt 10,000 were sold to touts.

 

No person who watched that fight wants to see it again.

 

DiBella is no different. I don't get why he gets all this praise as a promoter. He has not built one attraction from scratch. He was more than happy to be Al Haymon's mate, take HBO's money and feed us endless Andre Berto rematches.

This is also the guy who bleated on for ages about Sergio Martinez not getting a chance to prove his worth yet when Sergio was finally given a big fight against Chavez Jr. he started effing and blinding when asked if Martinez would fight Golovkin. His argument then was Golovkin brings nothing to the table. If that's the case then why was he demanding big fights for Martinez when he brought nothing to the table?

DiBella's the guy who moans about poor scoring but when Edwin Rodriguez gets a shutout in his favour on all 3 cards in a relatively close fight his excuse is the right man won. Never mind the judges filling in all 3 cards before the fight had even started.

He's the man who said "who the **** is Froch" when he was Jermain Taylor's mandatory and chose to fight a shot Jeff Lacy instead. The man's a bull**** artist. Lou's also promoting Jermain Taylor's comeback against horrible opposition. Is that giving the fans what they want?

And how can you expect someone like Hatton to put on a show for people like Quigg who will be on decent money without TV? Everything Eddie does is backed by Sky Sports. Others don't have that luxury. Promoters aren't charities and that includes Eddie. He's said it himself many times, you've got to work to your budget. Eddie's lucky enough to have a Sky Sports budget. No one else has.

I stand by what I said, in this sport if you put your blind faith in a promoter then that's stupid. None of them can be trusted. None of them should be trusted or relied upon to 'save' the sport.

I agree, theres not really a damn thing that Hearn can do about it at the moment as its not illegal.

 

I have been saying precisely that Robert.....You get your knickers in a knot every time that Ive said that Hearn is no different to any other promoter.
