Yes I believe nearly every Matchroom "big fight" has a rematch clause inserted in to a contract.

Warrington Vs Lara was basically a "keep busy" fight for Warrington, no belt on the line, just a run out before another title shot.

Warrington lost and within minutes Hearn was on our screens telling us there was a rematch clause.

Same happened with Whyte Povetkin, I think that was the worst of the lot, Hearn sold that fight as "Whyte gambling everything, rolling the dice, walking a tightrope, Whyte risking his mandatory position..."

Whyte was sparked and within seconds Hearn was banging on about a rematch clause, so it was hardly the massive gamble and huge risk Hearn said it was.

As for Campbell Hatton and others like Benn, I'm sure they have rematch clauses in their fight contracts, I don't think Hearn would allow their opponents to get a payday without one.

Where was Parker's rematch clause against Whyte? He was robbed from the outset.

Smarter than Loma's management that's for sure and he milks and protects even his non champions. Unless you count interim, recess, remedial, paper designations as meaning anything.

Good for him. Easy money for Bodysnatcher. Anyway the mandatory with Fury will never happen.

What would be funny is if Whyte wins a highly controversial decision, Wallin protests, and the WBC orders a rematch - which they could do given it's an "interim" title fight.

Kind of turn the tables and give Wallin the immediate rematch.

Make Whyte have to beat him twice.

‘reMatchroom’ I laughed too hard at that one that’s epic.. In a sense your right tho it seems if you fight one of Eddie’s fighters that a rematch clause is mandatory.. In just the last two years alone AJ is working on his second one, Whyte, Warrignton and I’m sure I’m missing many more..

Whyte isn't signed to matchroom so not sure there is much protection going on.

Whyte could beat Wallin and and if he chose go and fight the winner from Fury vs Wilder without Hearn.
