Eddie Hearnz trying to make Brook vs Bundu? SMH

he's not a bum, he's an okay opponent. nothing to do with being on US tv, he did easily beat Gavin too.

 

Aydin won both of thsoe fights, Guerreo actually beat Aydin. Dan went life and death with aydin going down both fights, while Guerrero beat him clearly.

When did i say brook is garbage? He's good talent which is why he shouldnt be fighting bums.

Dan was a mandatory so can't really call him for that.

Gavin was just an easy match up to make - and probably made Eddie a quick and easy few quid.

But I agree, it's time for Brook to fight someone decent and dangerous again. You can't go around giving it the big one as the IBF World Champion, and then fight some no mark.

Also, It's Hearn, not Hearns or Hearnz.

 

Brook v Gavin probably actually saved Hearn a lot of cash.

The main event was meant to be DeGale v Dirrell but they lost the purse bid, and they had already spent a fortune on getting Linares, Gradovich and Johnson to the UK that they needed the PPV platform to function.

Trolls hate on the Gavin fight, but if this didn't happen- after Khan, Bundu, Porter, Bradley, Ali pulled out of the chance to fight a final eliminator, and Chaves was injured, Gavin would faced Bizier in a final eliminator anyway so Brook would have had to fight him or the guy that beat Dan soon anyway

Most people had it 50-50 check the round by round thread. You only say Bundu won because Brook actually beat Gavin easily, you agenda driven troll

Welp the WW division continues to be **** with everyone dancing around , calling out names (floyds mainly) and not fighthing eachother , what is there to block a thurman vs brook fight ? really asking , they arent fighting floyd (hes a got a "boxing" fighter legend berto up...) , why shouldnt they tangle ? this is sport is getting out of hand ..... they are shoving **** down our throats , they are allowed a soft touch , but this is a full body massage from hearn ....

 

It's not the worst stay-busy that could be made, and Bundu deserved the opportunity a heck of a lot more than Gavin did (having defeated him and all).

In all honesty, it's really not any worse (or less competitive) than a Brook-Rios match-up would be.

 

I am a big kell brook fight and if this fight was made i would be the first to call out brook and Eddie hearn.

I don't believe it for a minute though. Amir khan mentioned it but there has been no talk of this fight.

As for why hearn is keeping brook in the UK. Brook makes a whole lot more money fighting on the UK on ppv rather then fighting on PBC. It's only beneficial for brook to fight in the US if he fighting on HBO/showtime

The problem for kell is that the top 147 Fighters will not come to the UK.

Hearn will have to pay a lot of money to get these fighters over here. Eddie is gonna have to start showing the money though as kell is missing out.

 

I think Brook deserved a grace period after getting stabbed. Dan was **** but it was a mandatory and Gavin was **** but it was 2 months later not 6 like most world level fighters. Now is the time to step up however. Bundu is a good fighter but has done nothing to deserve a shot and was already soundly beaten by Thurman. Rios is the bare minimum standard of opponent he should face now.

 

if eddie can sort something out with PBC, and basically have a PBC promoted card at afternoon time USA but evening in UK, with the fight being in the UK it could work. Thurman's fight with collazo didn't go great in ratings so moving him to an afternoon pbc card and fighting brook where there's probably 15k-20k in attendance would suit everyone?

as it stands rios, Thurman, etc get $600k for fighting on hbo / pbc, eddie hearns not going to offer anywhere near that.

after this brooks likely to be fighting chavez or alexander who will be mando, so will have a live body to fight soon enough.

 

This would be great if it were not a title defense and Brook was making his way up the rankings.

This would be great if Brook was a novice titlist whom was barely ranked in the top 10 or wasn't at all and whom nobody had any expectations of.

This would be great if Brook and his promoter didn't pretend to be seeking glory in only facing A-list opponents.

This would be better if Bundu had won 2 or 3 or 4 rounds from Thurman.

I guess we shall see. I would much rather prefer Bundu over Rios. Bundu is the better opponent and would be a better victory.
