Matchroom bring in far more cash for Sky then the UFC ever could.

I don't think sky will end up with UFC I think they are actually BT bound. It wouldn't be a bad thing for sky or Matchroom though if they end to getting ufc. Main cards start at 3am so you will actually gain casuals watching in the build up whilst waiting for ufc to start

I purposely left Newcastle out. I am only half an hour down the road so would love an event here. I can't see who headlines though. Kell Brook or someone from not too far away maybe? More likely to see more events in Liverpool probably. Maybe Newcastle gets a prizefighter

Nobody of note so no obvious guaranteed ticket seller, but it is one of the 'core' cities and hasn't had a proper card since Khan in 2009 and it used to get a fair few regular big cards featuring the likes of Benn, Calzaghe and Hatton. I reckon if they did get the 30 show deal than one would be at the Metro Arena.

UFC was ****, is **** and will always be **** compared to boxing.

That sport and I use the term ''sport'' loosely has no place taking Boxing's TV space.

If sky gave Matchroom 30 dates then take 4-5 weeks out for the summer break and 3-4 weeks out for the Christmas break and you would have 30 dates to fill around 44 weeks which would be quality. 6 prizefighters, 14 regular decent cards like say the Frampton Martinez card and then 10 massive cards which would work out once a month featuring the likes of Froch, Burns, Brook and Groves and so on in big world title fights.

ufc more likely to go to bt has they have bought all espns stuff

if the viewing figures have been good sky may add more dates it may be as simple as that, and if skys yardstick of quality is met ( how many more of last wknd cud sky stomach)

i do think hearn needed new signings just to fill his existing dates to a decent standard especially in the main event category burns is a big signing for this can take care of 2/3 dates a year and always the option of gettin him in a ppv

they could really do with brook n bellew winning next up and frampton barker groves geetin some decent fights to keep top of the bills interesting
