Machen takes a clear decision,in a fairly uneventful bout.

If Eddie could do a good job of matadoring the all conquering "Younger" Sonny Liston, Beat the Talented young pro Quarry, and when Older, make a young Firebrand Frazier work for the victory, well i thing Slow Randy is left a step of two behind the cagey Machen most of the way, Eddie on clear Points for me.

Tex was a better kick boxer than he was a pugilist. Eddie would take an uneventful decision here. Cobb forced a young Dokes and aging Norton to settle for split decision wins, but Machen was a better boxer with better mobility than those two were at the time they fought Tex.

Machen wins an easy decision. Cobb was as tough as they come but his skills were pretty limited. One of the best chins ever, hed get you tired from beating him up that was pretty much his strategy.

Machen wins every round against Cobb.
