I think Foster knocks out Eddie late after being behind the cards. I think it depends what Mustafa turns up. At his best he could steal this on points.

I don't see Eddie getting knocked out....

Otherwise it depends on which Eddie shows up. If the title winning Eddie shows up Foster gets knocked out by the 10th, if the drag-assing Eddie shows up a Foster UD.

When motivated, Eddie had an excellent punch and though probably not as great a champ as Bob I happen to like Eddie a lot better.

    Foster by UD.

Eddie's too durable to get knocked out here.

Never saw him staggered in his prime.

He suffered a few flash knockdowns, but that was it.

I think Eddie had the talent to beat Foster, but weather he had enough fighting spirit to do the job, I don't know. How is that for fence-sitting?

When I saw the punishment he took from Spinks I knew his chin was solid

Foster would kayo Eddie in the 14th, after being slightly ahead on the cards.

I think Foster would put Eddie into survival mode.

    Interesting fight.

Eddie was a brilliant talent, but a bit of an infuriating one, too. He was one cool cat in the ring and I love the way he could slip punches by mere centimetres without so much as blinking or changing expression....But his problem was that he was a little too cool in there at times, prone to coasting and occasional lapses in concentration. He had an excellent chin and brilliant powers of recovery, but he had a tendency to play it safe and give away rounds after he'd been knocked down, which (along with the point deduction) cost him against Galindez, and to a lesser extent Spinks, too.

I think Foster's consistency at championship level is a reassuring factor in his favour and I'd back him to win this one, but also think he'd have to settle for a rare points win rather than a stoppage and that it'd still be a somewhat frustrating night for him. I can see a scenario where Eddie fights well on even terms, maybe even hurting Foster to the body once or twice (Foster's body was a long, big target and Eddie could be a wicked body puncher as he showed against Johnson), but I think at some stage Foster is going to floor him and while Eddie might beat the count, it could be that familiar tale of him subsequently becoming a little discouraged having tasted the power and getting stuck ineffectively on the outside, failing to make an impact with the judges. Could be one of those fights which doesn't quite come to the boil after a promising start, with Eddie giving it away as much as Foster wins it.

Foster by decision, helped with a knockdown.

I really like Eddie,,,but I can't see him taking a lot of risks after tasting Bob's power. I could see Foster getting to Mustafa Muhammed late.
