How did he managed to beat Marvin Johnson back in the day, I will never know. But Lotte was a force for a second.
The Marvin Johnson decision was kind of a robbery, I read. But, I've never seen it. Mwale also kod Tony Sibson early in the career of both guys. He was a good fighter. But, he ran into Saad and Mustafa, who were pretty exceptional.
I grew up watching those epic light heavyweight title fights (Franklin-Johnson, Franklin-Conteh) on Saturday afternoons. But I don't think the current light heavys get enough credit for the thrillers they are putting on now. You'd be hard-pressed to find more brutal or epic fights than we've seen at light heavy in the last year. There was Adonis Stevenson-Badou Jack (war), Badou Jack-Marcus Browne (war), Oleksandr Gvozdyk-Adonis Stevenson (near fatal war), and most recently Marcus Brown-Jean Pascal (war). Not to mention the two Kovalev-Alvarez fights. Things are pretty good right now as far as action fights at light heavy.
