On a more serious note, good luck with the surgery jowcol. Potentially keep your eye on youtube page I routinely link to in my threads on this forum... I bet there's a couple hundred damn good but obscure boxing matches there you're likely to of never been before. Plenty of good material while you're relaxing and recovering...!

 

Weren't Saad and Mustafa friends even while both fought? I'll have to look in my old boxing mags, but I recall in an interview about a light heavy unification bout between the two, and Eddie saying I have no problem sharing the title with my Muslim brother. Does anyone know more about this?

 

They were supposed to have a rematch on a Harold Smith card for big money. But then the Wells Fargo charges came about & everything was cancelled.

 

I have never seen the whole Gregory/Franklin I fight, but from what I see here Franklin was not too effective. He moved well, and then tried to jump in with quick flurries, but Gregory seemed to see everything coming. Franklin would jump in with a flurry and mostly miss. Then, they would tie each other up. Gregory plodded forward, not cutting the ring off. It was pretty ugly. Neither guy looked good in these clips.
