‘Hominem’ route...Tony, I like that, genuinely. Great word.

Yes, I was employing the hominem route to avoid having the exact same debate we’ve had several times over.

We don't know what the numbers for the rematch will be but you've said that other than anyone named Mayweather the rematch would be a huge payday in any era. The biggest non Mayweather PPV was Tyson Holyfield II which did a fraction under 2m. I suggest if you think this will get near that you're delusional.

Which is what? Based on ticket sales, money earned, PPV's bought and so on Joshua is more popular but you know that actually Fury is based on your Facebook feed?

A conservative answer to my question is 600k ppv buys. At 65 dollars a pop, that's 40 million dollars. Gate money will bring that number up significantly. UK PPV numbers will be much improved, bringing the pot up significantly once more.

With a 50/50 split, that's a huge payday for any fighter not named Floyd Mayweather. Or Mike Tyson, as you just had to point out.

Why does that bother you so much Tony?

Where have I said that Fury is a bigger PPV seller/ticket seller than AJ? I’ve said Fury v Wilder did big numbers and will do bigger numbers in the rematch. I’ve said they’re creating a big selling fight without AJ. I’m not on Facebook.

Why would an ordinary boxing fan spend so much time arguing AGAINST the popularity of a big boxing match? Why would an ordinary boxing fan be so bothered that two unbeaten champions are going to make big money by facing each other?

You're an absolute embarrassment Tony Hayers. Shame on you, you scumbag!

i'll give you that it 'might' be bigger than the 1st fight. but its still not massive. If the cost of a PPV is the reason it didn't sell, then lower the damn price or put it on a decent time that the European market can accept (increase in ppv sales) nobody wants to watch wilder vs fury at 5am, we could just about stay up for mayweather lol
