No what you mean is it's not as easy as people think to make fights that that look even on paper but are a formality. What the fans want to see are good competative fights regardless of the promoter.
I'll admit Frank is bad, possibly just as bad as Eddie Hearn and pro boxing in general is ridiculously corrupt. You only have to look at the way Cleverly was carried back to his corner but Groves was stopped at the first available moment or the way Bellew was gifted a decision against Chilemba and Rose was against Maciel etc. Problem is though a competative market is always better and unfortunetly we no longer have that due to Sky giving a man with little to no expierience as a promoter their full boxing calender (I'm sure it was nothing to do with his dad). Some idiots were going on about how great and honest Eddie is but it turns out he's just as bad, if not worse when it comes to the judges and if you're scrating your head as to why boxing news etc. don't ever comment about much of the obvious corruption that goes on in Britain as a whole well these reporters don't want to lose their free ringside tickets and other handouts just like the corrupt officials. The sport as a whole is wrecked by the guys that surround it just to leach off it.
Barker himself admitted that he was "all about making money at this stage" on the Gloves Are Off special. He got plenty for fighting Sturm. As for mandatories not coming first that all depends on the influence the boxer/the boxer's promoter has with the organisation. Watch the footage of the FBI investigation into corruption if you don't believe me, the IBF were seen taking bribes from promoters to get fighters ranked in their top 10, get title shots etc. Sturm has a good relationship with the IBF so they would probably have enforced it anyway. The majority on here favoured Barker to win anyway and he still has a rematch clause (in England) if he chooses to exercise it.
Completely agree mate. Like I said before it is these leaches who steal from the sport that ruin it. The sport deserves TV coverage, a fair and honest governing body, well matched fights and no corruption.
