Brook has found a world wide respect after he crossed the pond and won the title. Please don't drop down a level for the sake of a potential fight in the future.

If he wants to fight the Mayweather's and Pacman's of the world next year, he needs to fight big names like a Marquez.

Granted, Marquez may be tough to get over as he won't like the drug situation but I'm sure something could work out. He wants the title but won't fight Pac man and wouldn't get the May fight....if he really wants it (which he does) he would come over.

Brook - Marquez is PPV worthy over here.

Pretty high risk (it is winnable though!) but high reward in terms of £ but also for his profile here and particularly in the US.

I really think Brook & Hearn want the Khan fight.. which really depends on how Mayweather plays his cards.

I can see Brook defending the title against Bundu in December then they'll be looking to make the Khan fight. 2 big fights in the pipeline there for Khan, but he'd obviously jump at an opportunity with Mayweather much more so than Brook.

If Mayweather does choose Khan, then Brook v Marquez is a fight I'd definitely watch and a fight I do think would sell.

^ Scrap that Bundu idea, just watched the most recent Hearn iFL interview.

Doesn't seem keen on Bundu as US TV will be interested and he isn't a big name.

Mentions Josesito Lopez, Berto, Rios & Guerrero as possible options for December 6th.

Guerrero would be a very good, winnable defence against a respected name.

The fact Eddie is even considering offering a shot to Josesito Lopez concerns me....no thanks.

Devon Alexander would be a good 1st defence.

They will have a job getting a big name to come over, Guerrero would be ideal

It will probably be Lopez. You lot need to get real as if he would put him in with JMM, lol

Brook would beat the brakes off Marquez imo, Brook is a big welter and has totally the wrong style for JMM

Course he would mate. He beat Shawn Porter, lets all calm down. Enjoy his first defence versus someone who isnt world level.

Just my opinion. Marquez is a 40 yr old blown up lightweight who likes fighters that come at him throwing punches. If you don't give him anything to counter he gets frustrated like he did against Bradley. Brooks size and jab alone would give Marquez problems

Fair point mate.I think we all need to be realistic though, they want a home coming against someone like Lopez or Malignaggi or an IBF top 15 nobody to look good against and then Khan in the spring as they think they can knock him out. Maybe they can beat him, personally I think Khan out boxes him, but it would be great to have another Wembley fight.

For me even a 40 year old JMM beats Kell because he still a hell of a fighter even now.

Kell and Marquez isn't PPV over here. Kell still isn't known, he fought a pretty unknown champ in Porter US time, most casuals won't have watched and if they did the fight on the whole wasn't entertaining to most. He needs a defence over here with the Sky hype machine followed by the Khan fight, which would obviously be PPV, before he is marketable as PPV himself and then only with a big name.

He also needs experience before jumping in with Marquez. Kells still only got 12 rounds of world level experience and I'd see how he does in a tough defence followed by Khan before throwing him in with Marquez. Although I'd love to see it from a fans point of view it doesn't make sense right now so it won't happen.
