Whyte v Chisroa absolutely got people to buy that in bigger numbers. And they put on a great fight to go with all the hype too. No wonder Eddie is paying Del boys fine for him.

Will be huge numbers for the Wembley ppv

    That's bad.

These PPV's where the main event is a gross mismatch should fail miserably to prevent them in the future.

Like I said some time ago, the UK is now where the US was about 5 years ago. No matter how big the mismatch in the main event, as long as the big name home fighter is in it, people buy it.
The UK needs a Floyd vs Pac type wakeup call.

It's AJ. The guy is pure box office and a true star. The Whyte v Chisora madness helps as people love that.

I'm guessing Eddie is taking about pre fight buys as the numbers wouldn't be in by now.

Hopefully it comes in the form of Wlad & Haye doing the business.

Doesn't Hearn make the same claim every time? (eg Bellew-Cleverly)

Matchroom full of Spin and deceiving marketing tactics to trick the uneducated mugs into buying PPVs and huge ticket prices claiming 'huge test' etc for 100/0 risk fights (eg AJ v that pudding Semolina last night)

I thought Wlad looked the old man that he now is at 41 last night when standing next to AJ.

Eddie would of made a fortune last night the under card wouldn't of cost more than 500k and theyve probably pulled 1m on gate receipts alone

He always does- I suspect the Chisora/Whyte fight drew in a few late buys however.

He did but Wlad was wearing a black shirt, and also being ripped makes you look bigger than you are. AJ is a big lump though...

This reminds of the AJ-Whyte PPV.

Turned out to be entertaining (this one more so) and that'll be used as justification going forward. However, on paper both of them were pretty rubbish, even if it was retrospectively enjoyable; you pay for your money based on what's being offered, not in hindsight.

Would love to know the real no's when they come in.

I know it's not an indication of the actual figures but I personally don't know a single person who paid to watch it. Everybody Facebook,Twitter and Insta where watching on streams. I shared the link I had (which was basically HD quality with little buffering) to loads and loads of people.

The main event was a non event. Molina was 'ing terrible and the casuals were milked as they were vs Can Martin and Breazeale. These guys are no prep for even a faded WK.
