What? He’s fought Wilder 3 times. He was in line to fight AJ until Usyk beat him. If Usyk beats AJ again, a Tyson-Usyk fight will be the fight that everyone wants to see. Tyson isn’t retiring. Your post implies that Whyte is a tough fight which Tyson will try and swerve as he doesn’t want tough fights. Yet that’s clearly not the case.
I honestly think Fury will take the franchise title and drop the ‘then’ meaningless WBC regular belt for the likes of Whyte to scrabble over. Hopefully Fury will then fight a deserved contender in Joyce or await the winner Usyk v AJ II
I expect the winner of Usyk vs Joshua would pick an undisputed fight with Whyte over a fight with a titleless Fury.
Fury hasn't fought anyone near Whytes quality since Wald over 5 years ago. Fury has turned down fights against top fighters in AJ and Whyte during this time to fight lesser opposition.
Come on man. He came back after a big lay off, where he shed a ton of weight in order to fight a top 3 HW. I’m no fan of Wilder, but he’s a very dangerous guy. He fought him 3 times. He also looked to fight AJ before he lost to Usyk. He’ll no doubt fight the winner of that rematch at some point next year. The lesser guys who he fought were tune ups after his lay off, followed by 2 fights in the U.S. in order to build the Wilder rematch. Those were hardly the actions of a man who shirks a challenge. There’s never been any demand to see a Tyson-Whyte fight. Your post is silly.
