Sky's subscription fees should be more than enough to cover fights like Joshua vs Whyte. It's hardly the fight of the century. It's a domestic dust up, sold to the public as more than it is. Eddie would have prob had Khan vs Grahame Earl on PPV if he'd been promoting Amir. He's an absolute disgrace and needs to be called out on this. Can't see who'll man up and do it though. Kugan and co. are so far up him **** these days that they can be barely called independent journalists.

For some perspective, ITV managed to put on Calzaghe vs Lacy, Froch vs Pascal and the like for FREE. They're fleecing us because we allow them to.

Is this eddies fault or are sky the ones pushing the PPVs?

    Seeing Malignaggi fight underwhelms me.
In reality what does this offer in terms of extra PPV?

Cannot stand listening to Paula's shyte never mind his feather fists in the ring. The USA's Paul Smith talks shyte and boxes shyte.

It's Sky although Hearn has to play along to keep his deal. Four a year I'd imagine is in the new Matchroom deal.

What brings PPV down is something that wounds Sky's brand- the reason of the hiatus in PPVs after Klitschko/Haye was due to people not being able to see the fight due to technical issues which in turn caused no end of negative publicity for Sky. That may happen again as may the public waking up to the fact that Sky/Hearn essentially are flogging four decent fight night main events in per PPV event.

I suspect this PPV does around 300-400k buys which which means the status quo remains.

250k ish I believe. The break even point is around 150k depending on the purses, costs etc.

the success of bellew vs cleverley is why sky and hearn are so confident with the PPV route.

    that did very good numbers!

There really is one born every minute. There was one pub near me showing that fight and that was literally the only place I knew that had paid for it.

Loads of my friends like boxing - some casual, some serious. None of them bought it - and not for financial reasons like some idiots on here suggest when people moan about PPV - but because it simply wasn't worth it. I guess based off the back of that I assumed nobody bought it. It must have sold well in Wales and Liverpool...

Comes to something when a British fight is now PAY PER VIEW!

Eddie will do his usual "I couldn't make it a NON-PPV with this amount of talent, Could I?" Well f*cking slash them and have it on Sky Sports instead! It's not as if the other Matchroom lads will be in tough fights - Just look at the odds of their fights when they get announced!

As I've said MANY times before: The card will be as one-sided as a Bukk*ke party.

It's enough to turn even the most of fans off.

I reckon if Fr-an-k could last another 2 years he'd see Eddie off due to his greed. It's gonna be the end of him, you watch.

    Next year, look at this...

    Quigg/Frampton = PPV.

    Froch comeback = PPV.

    AJ fights = PPV.

    Luke Campbell = PPV.

Mayweather fights (he'll come back) = PPV.

    Brook = PPV.

The non-PPV cards are going to be abysmal.
