we got f'n smoked by the ricans on latin fury 15. I just noticed, we are f'n done after Donaire and Pacquiao call it quits.

Haven't seen the ppv, but i'll get a copy.

None of our guys fought on Latin Fury 15 (Chavez/Duddy card)

As for tonight we definetely had a dissappointing night.

Sonsona's chin lost a fight that he was dominating.
Donaire looked like crap fighting southpaw.
Concepcion is just a fighter with a hard punch.

Im still high on the Pac/Cotto win. 2009 was a year of Filipino/PR rivalry and the Pac/Cotto fight was the defining match for it.

Donaire looked like crap fighting southpaw? After a couple of warm-up rounds he looked beastly. He did improve even more when switching back to orthodox, but he would have won with not much more difficulty had he remained a lefty. He was really getting the hang of it, but decided to play it safe and go with what he knew.

Donaire was getting hit much more than he should of, and was fighting too defensive. When Marquez had the upperhand and pushed the fight, Donaire's footwork would try to reset at orthodox while retreating leaving him open, he was lucky that Marquez isnt relentless. Also those first 4 rounds were close, one could easily score it 3-1 Marquez (which 2 in pressrow did I believe). It wasnt until the 5th when he switched to conventional when he got his groove back and was landing a lot and making Marquez miss wildly.

I had it even through 4. Press row had him behind through 4. He was making LOTS of mistakes as a southpaw - fighting too low, fighting too square, leading with his head, lower workrate etc., and Marquez (who isn't very good mind you) took complete advantage. Once he switched to orthodox, he dominated. Hell, he went back to southpaw for the first 15 seconds or so of the 7th and Marquez tagged him a few times again, before switching back to orthodox and dominating.

Donaire has a great left hook. I have no idea why he would do something so dumb as take away his best weapon by fighting southpaw, especially when he's obviously not too good at it.

Just keep the hand up, that's all. The Tyson kid doesn't have much crack though they said he did, not really, so Nonaire experimented. The mexican kid has never been down but he was shook. I don't think Nonito can make tha same mistakes @ 118-126 and get away with it IMO.I didn't mind the Southy thing but the hands are way too low for my liking one day he gonna have to show he got a chin.HE WILL GET CRACKED!!

  11. You obviously aren't familiar with Filipino boxers if you think that.

  12. It never ceases to amaze me just how uneducated some people are in regard to boxing. Jung-Koo Chang, of South Korea, was just inducted into The Boxing Hall Of Fame in 2010. Jung-Koo Chang and fellow countryman Myung-Woo Yu are considered to be two of the best EVER in the Light Flyweight div.

You really should read this article I posted and after you read it maybe you'll pause before you make such erroneous comments in the future.

That was a case where having an iron chin was actually a curse instead of a blessing.
