    Old 60’s fighter.
    New camera.

This boxer fought 50 years ago.
Does this support or hurt the argument that boxing technique evolved after half a century?

It really doesn't say much. How you hit a bag and a moving target are vastly different things. But I'll say this, anybody who fought prime Eder Jofre was a brave, brave man.

I love Jofre … so good, lived/lives a healthy dedicated life to his craft, as did his family. At that age, still can see the hand speed he has along with his accuracy with some power

Jofre was a perfect boxer. It’s arguable he’s the most complete and perfect all around fighter that lived. IMO he was a genius.

Looks like it's more of a case of him showing his conditioning at his age hence the frantic pace.
    Edit
I'm also of the opinion JOFRE was a master craftsman who would have been Champion in any era.

Jofre and Harada could dominate in any era.

Just watch the film, Jofre was one of the most skilled ever, just watch the Medel bout. (awesome performance from Medel as well).

No, Jofre's offensive skills looked pretty damn perfect to me.

Jofre fought in the 60s, not the 1910s.

His skills compare just fine today. More than just "fine", theres no bantamweight right now as skilled as Jofre

I've never read, anywhere on the forum, ever, that Jofre's skills were outdated.

I haven't read anything about Jofre lacking skill either. If I thought Jofre lacked skill or if I thought he was the most skilled fighter who ever lived I don't think I'd be influenced by watching him at 80+ hit a heavy bag for 35-40 seconds. It's good to see an ex-boxer in good health, but to be asked to watch a short video of the boxer at 80+ years old and make a determination about his prime boxing skills...?
