    :good

During the video he was talking about the fight with Smecca, but the fight showed (I´m almost 100% sure) is the one vs Espinosa....

Jofre won it by decision but dropped the high ranked Espinosa during the fight....

Some seconds only unfortunately.....Eder was talking about ERnesto Miranda and how Miranda annoyed him with disgusting letters attacking Eder´s family in those letters and everything......then they show a video that I suppose is Eder vs Miranda (one of their fights)......

A good clip of a sparring in this video too.....I believe the kid sparring with Eder is one of his nephews.....Eder is giving the kid some boxing tips.

When I first got into boxing there was seemingly hardly any footage whatsoever of Jofre. More enthralling stuff here, cheers Vic.

Any Jofre is appreciated. I really want to see the whole fight between he and Caldwell.

Is somewhat an underrated win IMHO since Espinosa was ranked the number 2 at BW in 1958, and very experienced while Jofre was still young and a bit green.....and Jofre dominated him with some ease...

    Oh how you taunt me...

There's like 10 seconds of it on YouTube although I would ask- when didn't Jofre look spectacular?

A bit of an odd one, if Laguna had fought Jofre before he outgrew bantam how would he have got on? Green, but ranked no.2 by The Ring behind only the champion from Brazil, and as we know the Panamanian was an iron man and skilled boxer who took on the best at feather and was one of the best lightweights of his era. At bantam his best win was probably Jofre's old foe Eloy Sanchez. Jofre had stopped him in six, Laguna a few fights later in 4.

Jofre had just taken the title, beating Caldwell and Medel and in '62 it would've been a great matchup despite Jofre being in his absolute prime and Laguna being way off his. Knowing Laguna I'd expect him to put on at least as good and most probably superior showing to the also very good Caraballo(surely El Tigre would go the distance?! Even then!).

Laguna would be tough, he would have a good advantage on speed.....I would bet on Jofre still....but not confidently I have to say...

I think Jofre would be much stronger at the weight as well as more refined and experienced. I could see a beanpole Laguna punching very sparingly down the stretch and being outpunched.

One things that impresses me in all the clips of Jofre is his body attack, he really dig there with both hands.
