    @ Bantamweight or Featherweight.

Well rounded technician against the offensive whirlwind. Does Fenech manage to emulate Harada's success against Jofre by outworking him or does Jofre use his better boxing skills to beat him?

Oh no, poor Jeff, respect for JF a LOT of it but JF isn’t Harada and Eder is Mount Rushmore great on the tier with like Washington - If Azuhma got him in a rematch Eder wouldn’t make the mistake of needing a rematch, he’d win the first time around and clearly.

I'd make Jofre a big favourite at BW and a slight favourite vs the bigger Fenech at FW.

Jofre cleans up here. Too composed, too powerful, to solid on every front.

Jofre would stop him in 6-8 at 118
Jofre by UD or late stoppage at 126.

Jofre blasts him out at bantam, and puts up a masterclass at feather.

I'm a big fan of Jofre but Jeff is getting seriously underrated here imo if people are thinking that Jofre doles out some kind of one sided battering or is a clear favourite. Fenech was a serious force, even the raw bantam version. Less refined than Harada at that weight but far bigger and stronger and without the mangled hands that plagued him at higher weights. And an iron chin to boot.

A lot might hinge on how much Jofre can hurt him or make him pause to take stock and back off. In the latter sense he was less versatile and skilled than Harada at fighting on the move to ride out any tough spells, but I do think that Jofre would have a job deterring him. The Harada, Aoki, Marques and Jamito fights showed that he could be a slow starter, and Fenech was like a tiger out of the blocks. A good chance that Jofre adjusts and is too good over the course, but he never beat anyone quite on Fenechs level at bantam or feather. Medel and Legra the closest. Nothing wrong with favouring him but I wouldn't be hugely confident.

    Hi Buddy.
Quite right, Fenech was a relentless, formidable, implacable, fighting machine, at his very best a hard man to discourage, not saying he would beat Jofre, but like the esteemed poster you are, you have highlighted that it wouldn't be the cake walk some posters feel it would.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.

Jeff was GREAT. But Eder was GREATER. This is not a knock on Jeff, but Eder is just a bit better.

Fantastic post. I like Jofre at bantam in a helluva fight but he'd have a tougher job at 126. Fenech was as strong as a bull at 126 and his display against Callejas may have been his greatest. If Jofre can't deter him with power and counter aggression he'd be in for a long night.

I can´t remember how well rounded Fenech was tbh, just being honest, I remember him as an agressive guy but that´s not fair most likely.
