One thing is true though and that is that Edgar winning these close fights aren't good for MMA. I love Frankie but hes generally a points scorer where as Aldo and Henderson are violent practioners, which is ideally what we want to see. Frankie is almost like the points scoring version to GSPs grappling scoring.

This is why scoring criteria needs to change.

At 1st i thought Edgar won the last 3 rounds, but after thinking about Aldo took it.

I had Edgar winning the last 3 rounds myself. It was close though. I still can't believe the bull**** decision loss to Henderson, that was a true robbery

Frankie only clearly won one round. Aldo dominated more in the first and second than Frankie did in the fourth. The 3rd and 5th rounds were very close, but they come down to what you prefer, I'd say. If you prefer ineffective (damage-wise) points scoring, I can see how you'd give them to Edgar. If you prefer clean, effective shots, you gotta give it to Aldo. I had Aldo winning both rounds personally, having just re-watched it. 4-1 Aldo.

If you want to give Frankie the benefit of the doubt, so be it, but don't make this fight out to be a robbery.

The two times I watched the fight I gave Aldo 1,2, and 5 and Frankie 3 and 4. Thought Frankie got sloppy in the 5th and let Aldo hit him too much. Great fight though. Would love to see a rematch after Frankie gets some wins under his belt.

Wouldn't mind seeing Edgar drop down to Bantamweight. Apparently he dieted down to make 145, so I imagine he could easily make the cut. Edgar has the best chance out of any fighter right now to be the UFC's first 3 division champ.

Also it was strange to me that Aldo virtually stopped throwing leg kicks after the second. Same deal with Benson in his rematch with Frankie.

    If you're scoring, you're scoring.

I don't get this mentality at all. :bart

I had it 3-2 Edgar myself, but it was a very even fight.

I've only watched the fight once, but didn't he stop throwing them after Edgar took him down twice off of them?

Not only that - but Edgar was mixing up his attacks so well that it kept Aldo guessing.

BTW Rob Floyd - I see you posting more and more on Rogan's forum. This place it so much more civilized but there are some interesting posters over there. Have you been following James Thompson's posts?

I didn't say it was a robbery, I said it was a close fight. The Henderson loss was a robbery. :deal
