Beterbiev vs Bivol is a fight to make in the Middle East. It will make both fighters a tonne of money.

Anywhere else and it does poorly. Hard to market two Russians when the world is so anti-Russian these days.

Maybe, but the last time Bivol made a fight in the middle east, his purse was 500k plus some PPV. That's basically his purse elsewhere. Bivol hasn't seen a big enhancement to earnings by going to the middle east

So i'm not sure. I think Beterbiev as an opponent will enhance the match but by how much? And is it enough to make two guys who can probably keep winning during their wind-downs for 500k a pop want to put that chance on the line? What is the loser's purse for his next fight?

I don't think Bivol-Beterbiev delivers cash-out money to the loser no matter where it is fought.

Why is Berlanga headlining (or co-headlining) anything?

He needs to be fighting off TV, actually re-learning how to fight, or trying to present himself as a competent challenger. He does not need any spotlight and quite frankly, I think he's already showed his ceiling.

Perhaps but Beterbiev is a Muslim and the Saudis or Emiratis will get behind that. We all saw how they supported Khabib and Islam in their UFC bouts and they got crazy bags for those fights too.

Ultimately it depends on the marketing. I dont have faith in Top Rank to market it properly but DAZN could pull off something decent.

    Maybe.

Anyway, I’ll let everyone else panic about Usyk and Fury, this is the one I want to see.

    Same here.

The only one that matters. Fury is just a circus clown at this point.

Nobody wants to watch Canelo punch Bivols arm for 12 rounds again then lose and wonder why.
