Berlanga is a very intriguing prospect. You can see his power is for real but how real? Can it crack world class granite? Or is it only strong enough to shatter porcelaine? I havent seen power hyped like this since GGG but that power didnt seem as deadly once he upped the level of competition.
Edgar Berlanga as a child was very heavy handed, fathers of defeated opponents came more than once to look for a Tungsten rod hidden in the palm of the emotionless cold faced child. As a child Edgar was simply penalized for not smiling-kissing ass and dancing like the other cheerful kids of his age. Like Rocky Marciano, Carlos Monzon, Ali Raymi, Edwin Valero, those folks have terminal-destructive punching power, its not as flashy and satisfying to watch as Zab Judah perfect fast punches, with Edgar the punches don't look as flashy, we just see the damaged skulls n bones. People who sparred these people report abnormal punching power, psychopathy, sadism, suspicions of heavy matter always come up. It can be unique neurology, those folks are wired in a different way than the 99% and are usually hazardous to be around, in the ring or outside the ring. Outspoken people will immediately develop a negative opinion about them and voice their contempt-concern >>> @IntentionalButt is allergic to their personality spectrum, as most humans should be George Grooves is a great all-around human, if he think he can stop Edgar Berlanga KO1 streak he should go for it. Other than that Edgar is here to do serious damage, he has no other purpose, putting him in the ring is the best thing we can do to keep the world safer
Random post. Groves has been retired for a couple of years now and has no intention of coming back. Edgar is untested. It's Hard to say what would happen as we truely don't know his level and how good is his chin. Having watched him, i reckon Groves would KO him in a exciting fire fight.
George Groves is in shape, same shape/age as Loma he just fought last year (2020 doesn't count)! I reckon I want to see the first 1 minute of Groves vs Berlanga hence suggesting the match up
Berlanga would be foolish to try and press for an early KO against (prime) Groves. Groves was an elite counterpuncher with very fast hands, Berlanga might get slept early himself.
With all respect to the great Carl Froch legacy, George Groves is still the same counter-puncher. Counter-Punchers keep it past Geroge Groves current age JMM James Toney Benrard Hopkins
Probably. Am I only person that thinks the guy Saturday was on his way to surviving the first round? He was not in all that much distress when the fight was stopped. I feel like they were looking at any small moment to stop the fight, first sign of rocky water, they did. These little sessions are doing nothing whatsoever for this guy.............
