That round had a lot of opposing styles going on.

Combos & activity vs harder shots.
Strong start to the round vs strong finish.
    Takedowns vs Takedown defense.
    Submissions vs top control

I think a lot of people just gave the round to Maynard b/c he got the takedown at the end. 1 was legit was Edgar escaped nearly instantly, and the other was Edgar giving up the takedown to go for submissions.

I scored the round for Edgar b/c his work on his feet and off his back was better than Maynard on his feet and Maynard's GnP (which wasn't there).

So why did you score the round the way you did?

Maynard clearly won the 3rd. Maynard won the 1st, 3rd, and 5th.

Clearly...:blood Until he got the takedowns he was getting picked & combo'd apart on his feet. He landed 3 good shots.

His first takedown Edgar got up from immediately. His next takedown he did no damage from the top and was close to getting submitted before the round ended.
