The former WBO lightweight champ is returning from a KO loss at the hands of Richard Commey and then a layoff in excess of 2 full years. He is taking on a soft touch on paper in countryman Perales Osorio, as the man is a decade his junior but is 3-16-1 in his last twenty bouts. Probably the most notable thing about Perales Osorio is that he was the last man to drop Hector Tanajara. In fact, that stands as the only knockdown to date in Tanajara's pro career (amazingly, he never went down in spite of getting savaged by William Zepeda last week). Or rather, that is his most notable in-ring feat. Outside, he does have this one bit of infamy* - which, if true, is ample reason to hope old Ray takes him behind the woodshed and demolishes him. That, and the fact that he tattooed an Interpol song title on his chest. (tl;dr if you didn't feel like clicking the link: he allegedly battered his then-girlfriend Sophia Becerra Martínez so badly she needed a neck brace and had two black eyes, and put him on blast on Facebook where both their families could see)
