Edinburgh boxing gym open to 32 year old

I fancy a bash at this white collar business but its all for high flying city boys isn't it, doubt i'll have the money! I'm 24 like what would people advise for me to do to maybe get into a bit of sparring/training?

 

Just turn up at the boxing club and have a go! Not everyone likes getting punched about the face, some guys leave the same night never to return, other guys get a buzz out of it and love it, go along and see which you are:good

 

Cheers mate, to be honest i've done a bit of "sparring" with a mate of mine so know i dont mind taking a punch I do actually get a sort of buzz from it to be honest. I just wondered whether there was sort of a way to brush up a bit of skill (maybe those self teaching books or summat?) so I don't look like a total idiot being 24 and having no skill

Mate just go down the gym :bbb Fitness first, you wont get a better workout regardless of your thoughts/wants/ideas (the gym you were first referred to,i couldnt think of a better one for you locally)

Awright Hairy, Dunkys a good ****, just likes taking the **** out of a lot of guys, especially the english ones:yep I'm sure he will be on here soon enough, defending his corner, so to speak. But we can't have the scottish boys rounding on each other, not when there are so many english guys to round on:good

 

Be prepared to be put in your place Hairy! I said similar things to Dunky when I first joined as I felt his fierce patriotism blinded him to certain facts....I then learned that much of what he said in regards to England was true!

Sure he's a bit extreme, but the guy knows his stuff and is a good laugh to boot...and to be honest, his advice, whilst somewhat harsh, is pretty sound in this instance...

Don`t listen to them , mate. Clovie is a great gym and Rab is a good lad. My son trains there when he can get off his fat jeer. Its really friendly so just pop in any evening.
